Can't get feedly to synchronize with Google Reader (in Firefox)
I've added some subscriptions to Google Reader, and put them in a folder there. They show up in the Flock browser which I also use, but I can't get them to show up in Firefox, no matter how many times I login/out/refresh - though, oddly, they do show up under 'items I recently read'

Inappropriate?Hello ramage. Could you please take a screenshot of the sprindcleaning page? http://www.feedly.com/feedly#springcl... and a screenshot of the navigation tree in Google Reader? This will help us understand where the differences are.
Could you please also point your browser to http://update.feedly.com/release/feed... and re-install feedly to make sure that you have the latest version (this will help the troubleshooting process) -
Inappropriate?Hmm. I am not sure what you mean: from the dashboard screenshot I can tell that feedly is well integrated with Google Reader (there are feeds, some with unread articles). Can you please explain in a little more detail: I do not get them to show up in Firefox? (screenshots would help). Thanks.

Inappropriate? What I meant was that when I loaded Feedly in Firefox, there was no category called "__frugality", as there is in Google Reader, and that the feeds I subscribe to, and placed in that category in GR, weren't in the dashboard. Whereas, when I loaded Feedly in Flock, there was and they were.
Only, now, they're in Firefox too (they weren't before, trust me). Why the timelag, though? I mean, we're talking several days here of category and feeds being visible in Flock but not in Firefox (even though the feeds did show in "Articles I recently read").
feedly dashboard in Flock
Now the dashboard looks the same in Firefox, but a day or so ago that category didn't exist, and those seven feeds weren't there, even in 'feedly.others'.
I’m puzzled

Inappropriate?I am puzzled too. We trust you. We are going to spend more time trying to explore this problem. Note: when you do a change directly in Google Reader, that change should be reflected in Feedly (in firefox or flock) as soon as you logout and log back in or as soon as you restart the browser. The fact that you were not having a consistent view even though you logged out or restart the browser means that there is a problem. We will track it down.
have a good week end. -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem. I love your addon. But the fact that it won't update with my Google Reader makes me use it less. But it is still my default homepage.
-
Inappropriate?dingclancy: feedly syncs back automatically with Google Reader everytime you log in and out of feedly and everytime you restart the browser. Do you see a different behavior?
-
Hello. Yes I have tried that. But it just does won't update. The categories are not the same with google reader. In addition the new subscriptions do not show up in feedly. Thanks! -
Hmm. OK. I will forward that to the team so that they can try to reproduce it. One thing we have seen in the past is that the new RSS subscriptions do not have unread articles at first. They end up showing up in feedly only when they are unread articles associated with them. No very intuitive so we are looking at fixing that but I am wondering if that is what is happening here. Also why do you not add the sources directly in feedly? (feedly will add them for you in Google Reader and in that order, things are never out of sync). -
Inappropriate?Actually I add new sources direct to feedly too. But once I log out and log in or when I restart my browser, they disappear in feedly but I can see them in Google Reader.
-
Hmm...That is a serious bug. Can you reproduce this problem everytime? I will try to see if we can reproduce it. -
Inappropriate?I just did a quick test and I am not able to reproduce the problem. When I add a new source to feedly and restart the browser, the source is still there.
Question: when you add a new source do you add it to a specific category? If not, have you looked at http://www.feedly.com/feedly#category/feedly.others to see if they are may be in the uncategorized list? Finally if you go to the springcleaning page: http://www.feedly.com/feedly#springcl... do you see them there?
