Karine: we fixed all the problems on our side. The fixes are in version 1.0b4.48 and you should get them next time you restart your browser.
There is one remaining problem but it is on the Netvibes side: they do not encode correctly the "mac&nokia" string in the OPML they generate. The simple work around would be to rename that tab in Netvibes into "mac et nokia" or anything else that does not include an &.
Summary:
1) restart the browser to get upgraded to 1.0b4.48
2) go to netvibes and change the "mac&nokia" tab to "mac et nokia"
3) click on the feedly orange button
4) click on the + button on the feedly navigation bar
5) check netvibes and click on Apply
This should apply your 61 netvibes feeds and category to your feedly and get you up and running in feedly.
Thanks for your help and please let us know if something does not work as advertised.

Inappropriate?Karine. We are going to look at this. In the meantime, the work around is simple. Save the netvibes OPML file locally and then us the path of the local file in the OPML section of the add/welcome wizard (plus button on the navigation bar)
-
Inappropriate?Question Karine: when you try to open http://www.netvibes.com/opmlExport.php in your browser, does it generate the right OPML file? (ie a file with all your subscriptions?)
-
Edwin, thx for the quick response.
A-I get a blank page on my browser, be it Safari or Firefox 3, when clicking on the netivibes link you sent wuth yr 2nd message.
B- I do not know how to post the OPML file on my Feedly OPML field. Copy&paste won't work. What else ? What can I do ? Your email is No Reply. -
Inappropriate?Karine: can you please make sure that you are logged in to Netvibes and then click on http://www.netvibes.com/opmlExport.php (the result should not be blank, it should be the list of feeds you have subscribed to in netvibes). Which version of netvibes are you using?
-
Inappropriate?Using Ginger. The result of the click on th php is the export of the opml file: netvibes-karinev99@yahoo-fr.opml
-
Inappropriate?OK. we are making some progress. Can you open that file and make sure that there are some entries in them?
Can you then please click on the + in the navigation bar, then check netvibes and the click on Apply? Do you see anything happen when you do that? -
Inappropriate?then it starts uploading the feeds. Then it stops at a certain feed. The message right beside the "wheel" is " subscribing (0 to 45): name of feed". I guess 45 is the number of articles in that particular feed.
When deleting that feed from Netvibes, then closing both netvibes and feedy, reopening them, starting again to load netvibes into feedy, then it's another feed that seems to block feedy from importing from netvibes.
HTH,

Inappropriate?Karine,
This helps a lot. 45 is the number of sources you have in Netvibes. My guess is that feedly is having a problem importing them because of a special character in the source title or a special character in one of the tabs.
If the list of feeds is not too confidential, could you please email me the content of your OPML to edwink@devhd.com and we will try to debug it locally.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Inappropriate?Update: Karine. Thanks for the email. One of our engineers is now able to reproduce the problem you are seeing. We should have a fix for you by monday. Have a great week end!
Thanks for your patience and collaboration: this fix is going to make feedly friendlier!
I’m thankful
