Feedly as a integral part of Flock
I am a serious Firefox user for very long time... but recently Flock has been very helpful in the way it handles social media... the way flock handled feeds is pretty nice but somehow not the best way and which lacks depth. Feedly is something just above most of the feed handling applications/sites and this is where i was thinking if feedly can be a integral part of flock then things will be really awesome...
similar to how Feedly team is listening to ideas from its users, even flock team is listening to ideas on its forum...
so i suggest if the Feedly team can commuicate with flock team and try to see if my idea can help everyone of us...

Inappropriate?slax: feedly seems to work with flock 2.x. what you tried it?
-
Inappropriate?i am using feedly with flock 2.x,
what i was mentioning is... feedly as a default plugin/feature in flock.[as and when the first major release of feedly happens] as flock has integrated many social networks embedded into it...i guess feedly can connect through them to share the social media [as suggested by someone on the forum]... while with flock, feedly can work smoother with social media.
Flock has been exploring for innovative ideas to make a superior social media browser... and as i see it... feedly is just the thing what it needs....

Inappropriate?I see. Cool. I guess if we get a few more feedly+flock users, we could build a case for a stronger integration. Thanks for the heads up.

Inappropriate? This might be 10 months old, but I am still getting the message that Feedly is not compatible with Flock! Is there any progress here? (Running it on Vista; need it for Mac too!). Thanks

I am not sure to be honest (I am not that familiar with Flock). But I know that a few users have been using feedly on flock. What I know is that you need the version of flock which is based on Firefox 3.0. May be you can post more information about the error you are seeing and other feedly+flock users can provide insight. -
Inappropriate?I get the following error while trying to download Feedly for Flock, though it might be an actual server error and not specific to Flock itself.
Response denied by WatchGuard HTTP proxy.
Reason: body content-type denied rule='ZIP archive'
Method: GET
Host: update.feedly.com
Path: /release/feedly.xpi

Yeah, I get the same error in Firefox. looks like a server error. -
Inappropriate? The only problem with running Feedly in Flock at this time is the lack of syncing between Flock's feed sidebar and Google Reader. It is possible though, as illustrated in this Get Satisfaction thread: http://getsatisfaction.com/flock/topi...
Would be really cool to get this working.
