marc: the first build with this fix and jumbo patch is out. We have not turned on automatic update yet because we did some massive changed under the hood and we are going to work with a 100 people sample over the next 24 hours to double check that there are no major regression before we turn the auto-update on.
You can manually upgrade by pointing your browser to:
http://update.feeddo.com/release/feed...
If you do, please let us know how it works out.

Inappropriate? Can you please let me know where you got the install FF 3.01 from and we will try to replicate the problem? Thank you.
-
I got the Firefox 3.01 update from Mozilla, as a standard/usual automatic updtate. I didn't check the compatibility with Feedly before accepting it. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the additional information. We will try to see tomorrow if we can get access to 3.0.1 and test feedly with it. We will keep you posted.
Thanks,
Edwin -
Inappropriate?hi marc. we identified the source of the problem. This will be fixed as part of the next build we push out. It should happen before the end of the week. We will keep you posted.
(Thanks for the nice blog post!)

Hi Edwin,
That works. Thanks a lot. Now I can get rid of Netvibes again ;-) -
Inappropriate?Does not work for me...
Still get:
Firefox 3 Required
To improve security, feedly now requires firefox 3. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please feel free to contact us on twitter or on get satisfaction if you have any questions.
...with Firefox 3.0.1 (also automatic update yesterday)
I’m anxious

Inappropriate?web2marketing. thanks got that one. will be fixed later this evening. will keep you posted.
-
Inappropriate? Not working for me either. I really miss my Feedly. Thanks for the great product, hope you can get it fixed soon.
I’m sad and frustrated
-
Inappropriate? The botton dissappeared and reinstalling does not bring it back.
Starting up feedly from history shows. Maybe it is just the button missing?
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Susan:
Please point your browser to:
http://updage.feeddo.com/release/feed... re-install and restart the browser please. This will upgrade you to a version of feedly which supports firefox 3.0.1.
Please let us know if for some reason it does not work as advertised. -
Inappropriate?Ruud van Wijngaarden: You should be able to add the button back through the view > toolbar > customize option (you should be able to drag and drop the feedly button back on the toolbar).
Alternatively you can simply load and bookmark:
http://www.feedly.com/feedly -
Inappropriate?Hi Edwin! Thanks! That worked. I looked in the wrong place.
Thanks for the fast reply and thanks for Feedly!
I’m happy everything is back to normal (now call someone about that green girafe in the backyard)
-
Inappropriate?

FYI: there was a typo in your url (updage instead of update), but when I corrected it and clicked to install above is what I got.
I currently have v. 1.0b4 installed, but still no happiness.
I’m even more frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Very sorry about the frustration. I have 2 questions for you:
1) what version does chrome://feedly/content/boot/about.htm show?
2) what happens when you try to load http://www.feedly.com/feedly
Thank you -
Inappropriate?This is what I get for question 1: version 1.0b4.5 (1747)
As for question 2: I still get the Firefox 3 needed page -
Inappropriate?1.0b4.5 is the very latest so we are good on the install side.
Can you please type javascript:navigator.userAgent in the browser URL bar so that we can determine what user agent is being reported by firefox please? -
Inappropriate?I get a blank page and when I check in about:config there is no entry for it.
-
Inappropriate? What does the firefox menu > About Mozilla Firefox? There should be long string of characters starting with Mozilla/5.0... Are you able to see that? Could you cut and page the content of that string here?
Mine for example is:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1 -
Inappropriate?Susan: I have to run. I will look at the user agent information when I get back.
In the meantime, I suggest that:
1) you try to make sure that you are actually running the version 3 (3.0.0 or 3.0.1) of firefox. If you are not, you can upgrade to firefox 3 at http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
2) if so some reason, you do not want to upgrade to firefox 3.0, we have created a special build:
http://update.feeddo.com/release/feed...
you can try to install that build and restart your browser and see if that addresses the problem.
If you are running firefox 3 and are not able to load feedly 1.0b4.5 because of the firefox 3.0 required page, then there is a bug that we will try to track down as soon as we have your user agent information.
Sorry again for the frustration: we will definitely try to learn from this and trying to avoid the same page for future users. -
Inappropriate? The problems were apparently on my side with my Firefox default profile. I've reinstalled Firefox 3 and everything is working great.
Thanks for all of your help! Feedly is the best!
I’m excited to have Feedly back and thankful for all of the help.

Glad to hear that you problem has been resolved Susan: have a great week end!
