I think that a feedly app would be perfect for the iPhone.
Not much to add to this, but I think that Google Reader has a great interface already, but I think that a feedly presentation that I'm used to would be even better on the iPhone so I can share, twitter, friendfeed, etc.

Inappropriate?Yes. The iphone is our next target but there are still a few things we need to polish on Firefox in the next 4-8 weeks. I will make sure that we update this thread we start to focus more actively on the iphone. If that is OK with you I will also ask the team to reach out to you if they have design elements they want to validate. Thank you!!!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Very cool. This would be an awesome addition, but I also understand that you guys are focusing on your first/main product. Kudos. I'm following on twitter as well, so updates there and here about a potential iPhone app will reach me. Thanks again for the follow up.
-
Inappropriate?Update: we have some good news. We have finished the first concept iteration on what feedly on the iphone could look like. We should be able to open these up to the community to review by mid march.
-
Inappropriate?Glad to hear it's moving forward. This may be the next killer iPhone app, especially since Google doesn't appear to have any designs on a Reader App at this point.
Thanks for all the great work.
I’m excited
-
Inappropriate?totally Agree- about gReader, however, the options for offline RSS feeds on iphone are quite dull - I alternate between Newsstand Feeds
I hope the feedly team will develop offline feed reading abilities
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate?I'm looking forward to seeing early iterations of the iPhone version.
-
Inappropriate? Please add an iPhone tag then to give the option to control what show up at the iPhone.
I’m silly
-
Inappropriate? There's no app for the iPhone that actually makes me want to read my RSS on the go. I believe a Friendfeed app would solve that.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? On the laptop feedly is the only reason I use Firefox over Chrome. It would be perfect for the iPhone.

Inappropriate? Thanks for all the suggestions! We are definitely going to focus on iphone as soon as feedly 2.0 is out. One question: What do you think would be the maximum price you would pay for a feedly iphone app? free - 2.95 - 4.95 - 7.95?
-
Would price according to existing RSS applications like Feeds, Newstand ie. between 2.99 and 4.99 . Anything above $5 for an RSS app, at this point in app store pricing for these apps would likely make users hesitate to press the buy key. I can't wait for a feedly iphone app for < 5$ Go Feedly! -
Yeah, not more than $5 for me, too, and that only if it really stands out from the competition. Although if it's anything like Feedly now, I'm sure it will. If it's not significantly better, then I'd say no more that $3-4. -
Thanks for all the feedback. Our key design goal is to keep in fast and light. We decided to create a friendfeed room http://friendfeed.com/rooms/feedly-ip... to build it in the open, let the people try it and then look for feedback regarding what the right price should be. -
Yeah, thx! I've actually already submitted a subscription request. And "fast and light" sounds good. I don't actually use RSS readers on my iPhone anymore because they tend to take too long to sync. Then there's that whole sense that "I. must. read. everything...." thing that bugs me about most RSS readers. 'cept Feedly of course! As if "inbox-zero" wasn't bad enough, why go crazy trying to achieve "RSS-zero", too?! ;) -
since I have have had a great experience with feedly onlne - so I would not have a problem paying $4.95, for the iphone app.
but on the other hand all those users who have not used feedly on firefox might not want to tray a pricy new app.
SO maybe there needs to be a way to introce feedly to them before they buy it. -
I agree with Gagan my online experience was so good Ill pay $5 which is a great price for this app especially as you offer the web version for free, what ever you do dont make the iphone app free, you deserve to be paid...feedly is revolutionizing RSS, after all we all have to EAT. Bring on the iphone app can not wait. -
i'm ready to pay 7$, i think a free lite version is important too -
Inappropriate?2.99 at the most. To be honest, I haven't paid for an app yet. I love free ones, but if feedly is good enough, I'd pay for it.

I agree with $5. I also think/hope that the supposed 3.0 specs will really open up your possibilities. If it was strong enough, I would pay up to $10.
Thanks. -
i have come across a few people that are so stingy with buying apps that im surprised they actually bought an iphone. maybe you can get BK to lose their app virginity as they suggest finally.
i will also say id go up to ten dollars for an exceptional application. more than that and you would have to really have piled in features that i dont think a platform like iphone can handle yet. -
Inappropriate?I'd pay up to $10 (I'm already used to paying for Flickr, Vimeo, Skype, etc).
The problem is that App Store is not available in my country. -
Inappropriate?$3-5 would be acceptable.
-
Inappropriate?I would not pay more then 2.95 btw i never payed more than 0.99 for any App store app i prefer the free ones.....
I’m unsure
-
Inappropriate?I have only paid for one app for my iPhone (Tweetie--well worth it). I would pay $2.99 for a Feedly app that is nearly as full-featured as the Web version. I would be very disappointed if, for instance, the ability to share items through Twitter and Digg was left out, or it didn't have a built-in browser (it would be a pain to have to go to Safari each time you click a link, then re-open Feedly to get back to your feeds). That said, I am sure that a good Feedly app would quickly become the most used app on my phone.
Thanks.
I’m excited
-
Inappropriate?Would love top see feedly on iphone. Would also like it to handle the offline stuff. Currently using both feeds and Byline just to manage the features I want (both have some issues). Would be great to see a feedly app ! :-)
I’m Anticipatorily excited!
-
Inappropriate?Update. We just reached milestone 1 of the feedly+iphone effort. See http://blog.feedly.com/2009/03/23/pro... for more information.
-
Inappropriate?Well done. Looking forward to a seeing a prototype..or possibly even an Alpha?
-
Inappropriate?I'd pay up to $5 too, but there should definitely be a Lite version somehow. People might want to check it out a bit, before coughing up that amount.
If not, that $2.99 (which Tweetie costs, for example) is a more than decent compromise.
I’m optimistic

Inappropriate? We have created a private friendfeed room to provide people who are interested visibility into how we are designing/building a proof of concept. You can join here: http://friendfeed.com/rooms/feedly-ip...

Inappropriate?i tried to join the friendfeed room but to no avail :(

Inappropriate?I'd love to jump in, I'm super excited about feedly after finally switching over to it as my primary.

Inappropriate?Any news on that project? Reducing 5x is quite a lot. But GReader mobile is still as bad as it was 5 months ago.

Curious too, first post made it sound like it was pretty imminent. -
Inappropriate?I am still hoping to see Feedly on my iPhone. Not having a decent reader on the iPhone is the only thing keeping me from throwing my laptop away. Any progress since 5 months ago?
I’m Hopeful!
-
yes. we are making some progress. But we are re-writing everything in native and have been pulled into couple other parallel projects so the throughput is not as high as we wished it was. Have you tried Byline? -
Inappropriate?I would pay 5$ easily for a feedly on my iPhone, as long as it doesn't take forever to load.
Free version would go a long way to make it popular.
I’m excited
-
Inappropriate?I think it is disappointing that the feedly application hasn't been focused on. This application is very innovative as long as they can keep the features of feedly on the iphone OS. Someone should pick this idea up and finish it. I can't wait to be able to have feedly on the iphone.
I’m waiting
