Increase in CPU/Memory Usage | Unable to add a new feed | Not recognising existing account

Navigator Information:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7
For some reason, Feedly has again decided I've never run it before and it once again needs to import my Google Feeds.
[feedly][io] time-out GET /reader/api/0/user-info?ck=1237236212588&client=feedly
[feedly][disco][google profile] no account detected
What is more worrying, other than the fact it isn't detecting my Feedly account, is that Feedly is sitting there generating errors constantly.
The error log is gradually filling up.
CPU process is now at 100% (Firefox maxing out).
Memory usage increases.
Only way to stop it is quit Firefox and restart and AVOID clicking any feeds or using Feedly.
But as soon as I click on a Feed and an error occurs again, the process starts again.
Feedly has been very unstable the past few weeks to the point where I am considering un-installing.

Inappropriate?Very sorry about this. You are running into a bug. We will try to focus on this today and see if we can replicate it/address it.
When you have a few minutes, could you please: restart firefox and try to login to feedly and post login, open the firefox error console (firefox menu > tools > error console > message section) and attach a screenshot of what you are seeing? this is for example what mine looks like:

Sorry again for the inconvenience. We look forward to help kill this issue. -
Not an inconvenience at all. Feedly is a massive improvement over any other Feed reading tool that I've used in the past.
I expect there will always be problems with any application, but at least you guys are always open about the problems, always upfront with progress on any problems.
You have to be one of the most proactive organisations I've ever dealt with.
For that reason alone, bugs or no bugs, I'll stick with Feedly for a long time yet.
Many thanks for the quick feedback.
I'll have a go later on this afternoon and run a few tests.
Regards
Chris -
Inappropriate?Update: we fixed "[feedly][io] time-out GET /reader/api/0/user-info?ck=1237236212588&client=feedly
[feedly][disco][google profile] no account detected " in the 1.2.215 patch we just pushed out. When you have a few minutes, can you please restart firefox and see if your problem goes away?

Inappropriate?Updated to 1.2.1.2.215 (build 2446) and although it actually appeared to have loaded (i.e. my folders were present, and a list of my existing feeds), it still wanted me to complete the Wizard process.
It appeared to go off and fetch the list of feeds from Google ok, and I was presented with my dashboard.
But the first feed I tried to view resulted in an error.
I'm in the process of clearing down any plugins that could possibly effect Feedly. (I use the Gmail manager plugin which because it checks a number of different Gmail accounts, leaves a bunch of Cookies open, which possibly confuses Feedly because it wants to use account A, but some other account is logged in).
Once I get Firefox set up cleanly, I'll re-run and capture the Messages from the error console.
Regards
Chris

Inappropriate? Please keep us posted. The reason you are seeing the welcome wizard over and over is that feedly is not able to save you preferences. This could be an authentication issue related to the cookies or a bug in the feedly preference service. Please let us know how your cookie investigation go. Tonight, we will look at our server log and see if we see any exceptions related to your userId.

Inappropriate?I uninstalled the GMail manager plugin and so far, Feedly is behaving itself.
I've just given it a good old run through pretty much every feature and it was stable at all times.
I had GMail manager monitoring 10 GMail accounts, and I am wondering if it was creating problems. (It periodically polls the 10 Gmail accounts every X mins. To do so, it obviously has to login to GMail with 10 different credentials.
Fingers crossed I this in conjunction with the 1.2.1.2.215 release has sorted it.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Glad to hear that. I will put up a note on the blog to warn other users regarding potential conflict between feedly and Gmail Manager. Please keep us posted if you see any other issues.

Inappropriate?Just checked my Hellotxt feed at this address:

and got this:

To help reproduce the problem, please include some context as to what was the last action you performed before this error occured as well as any [feedly] related information you can find the "errors" and "messages" sections of the Firefox error console. Thank you! -
Inappropriate?Hello. I just tried to subscribe to this feed and I did not see any error (See image attached. It could be that you were the very first person to subscribe to this feed and Google Reader timed out while fetching it - it happens sometimes if the back end Google Reader is trying to connect is slow. Can you try to add that feed again please?
-
Inappropriate?Apparently it's a Feedly problem, not a Hellotxt problem. The feed opened just fine in RSSOwl. I got this when I tried it in Feedly:
Despite trying really hard, Feedly was not able to load this feed
There are multiple reasons this could happen:
* Access to this feed might require a username and password (feedly does not know yet how to access and load authenticated feeds).
* The specified URL does not point to a valid RSS or ATOM feed (in which case you might want to contact the owner of the website you are trying to subscribe to and let them know about the problem).
* You are running into a feedly bug (in which case, please open a ticket and let us know so that we can track this issue down).

Inappropriate?Ok. I think that this error was something else: it seems to be a regression we introduced when we added support for "sort by latest". It should be fixed in the 1.2.277 patch we just pushed out. When you have the time, can you please restart firefox and give it one more try?

You are welcome. If we have some time next week, we will try to pretty up the display of these types of message oriented feeds (Similar to twitter feeds...not very pretty by default).
