Is there any way to start Feedly in a Prism window?

Hi Edwin, I tried the URL you suggested and ended up with Prism showing a window with grey background, a large "feedly" headline and the options: Load your feedly, Install, Learn more, Support. On "Load your feedly" nothing happens (it's just reloading the window). On "Install" it tries to install the xpi File in my default browser Firefox 3 (where feedly already has been installed). Somebody told me he wasn't able to get any extensions installed on Prism yet.... so I think probably it's not possible.

thanks alex for making this topic... i had been looking into making this work in prism... i found some heads up on how to do this... will try it out and post the updates as im doing it...

well i tried few methods but failed... i guess help is needed from the feedly team.. as for interface, feedly adds a button on the address bar in browesr.... i felt this was one of the reasons i had unsuccessful installation of feedly on Prism.

Long time, How have you been?

I have looked into the xpi of feedly and xpi of the other extensions which worked with prism [ad block plus & stylish]. i guess i found a solution which might work.

In normal installation on firefox, feedly puts the icon on toolbar and urlbar icons in the address bar [overlay.xul], which i suppose, are the basic problems when installing on prism.

the solution would be removing the urlbar icons and putting the toolbar icon on status bar [which i have seen on both adblock & stylish].

instead of this

we use something like this...

Do look into this, and make a test version of feedly which could work for prism.

Assuming prism works as well as Fluid, which I used yesterday to create a Safari-based SSB for Google Reader on my Mac, it would be awesome if Feedly could work with it.

I've been looking for a way to dump NetNewsWire on the Mac, as I use Google Reader on all my Linux machines, including my N800, and when I found I could use an SSB for Google Reader which fired articles off into my default browser, I thought I'd reached Nirvana. Until, that is, I discovered Feedly, which was the icing on my Nirvana, except that my new Safari-based SSB was impotent, and unable to take me to RSS heaven.

Of course my little N800 wouldn't make it to heaven with me, as it would be stuck in a Feedly-free hell. Perhaps a sync-to-Google-now option could be available, so I can sync on demand or periodically without having to log out or close a browser, in order that my N800 (and my PS3) don't show me old news in GR.

Anyway, I'm almost in RSS nirvana thanks to your efforts.

any update on this? i dont use ffox much anymore aside from dev, so it would be a huge plus if i could run Feedly in an SSB
