Left sidebar ideas
I love the new layout, however I have a few suggestions for the left sidebar. First, it should include an unread items count for each category. Second, I think it would be awesome if it stuck to the side, so as you scrolled down, it would still be visible for easy clicking. Finally, there is lots of vertical space, so why have a "more" link to show all categories?
I am loving the new layout as a whole though.

Inappropriate?Do you have the newest release? Because in mine, the left bar stays still while content scrolls to the right.
As for the "more" link, I think it would be infinitely more useful if the list actually truncated based on window size (maybe it does on smaller monitors, but I'm not sure - I have a firefox window that isn't maximized and is shorter than the list, but instead of the list truncating and giving me the more link, the list extends out of the window, and doesn't scroll, so my window has to be resized to see the items lower on the list).
I'm assuming that right now, the more link is there there in the event that someone has a LOAD of categories. It may be MORE useful if users could specify which tags/categories show in that list (top 10, top 15...or something) and the order of them. -
Inappropriate?Okay, I just realized that a couple of my points have been addressed - the list on the left can be dragged/dropped to specify order, and the list is defaulting to 20 categories with a more tag for additional ones.
Still, I'd like to have it truncate to a smaller number of categories or scroll when I'm on a smaller screen or in a smaller browser window. -
Yes. We are working on trying to taylor feedly for smaller displays. More on this soon. -
Inappropriate? It now does stay while I scroll, and I can see all of my categories, but the more button still shows up and when I click it, it shows the last category again.

Inappropriate?thanks! It looks like it's auto-truncating properly now and everything seems to be looking a bit better on a smaller monitor.
