Loss of potential users
Well, with all the hype that Feedly has received lately, I had been excited to try it out. After finding out that there would be no new downloads this weekend, I was naturally frustrated. I expect that Feedly will lose out on much on the buzz that it received from going public.

Inappropriate?T. we are very sorry. But there is an issue around how our welcome wizard is currently designed which has confused and frustrated a small percentage of the people who tried if over that last four days. We tried at first to patch it but unfortunately it was not enough.
So tonight we decided to take the download offline for 2 days. Address the issue once and for all and then come back. In understand you frustration and I am sorry but we did not really have a choice.

Inappropriate?T. The problem has been address and the download is available again.

Inappropriate?God knows how many times I installed this. What is going on? I see nothing.
-
Inappropriate?can you please try this:
1. point your browser to: http://update.feeddo.com/release/feed...
2. accept the installation of the extension
3. restart the brower
4. if you do not see the feedly button on the bar, go directly to:
chrome://feedly/content/app/feedly.htm#my
You can put the feedly button back on the toolbar by going to firefox > view > toolbar > customize
Thank you,

condimentman we are still looking at ways to address that given that we do not really set third party cookies. we pushed the work around out to release some to the pressure: the bug was frustrating a lot of users.
I am hopeful that we should be able to remove that dependency sometimes in the next couple of weeks. Have a good week end.

Update: The firefox team has fixed this issue in 3.0.7 and 3.1. See http://blog.feedly.com/2009/03/14/thi... for more information. -
Inappropriate?Wow, thanks for the quick response and fix!
I was able to try out Feedly, and I'm glad that I waited. I'll be using Feedly from now on for sure.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? Thanks T. we are looking forward to listening to your suggestions on how to improve the concept.

Inappropriate? It ended up that the firefox team had not fixed the issue in 3.0.7. But we were able to address this issue by allowing users to keep third party cookies off but creating a set of exceptions for feedly.com, google.com, twitter.com. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/65995199... for more information. Sorry it took so long. We are happy to see this issue finally resolved.
