Problem With podcast Support

I use feedly to listen to recent podcasts. The podcast can run for 10 minutes to an hour. During this period I will browse the net or do some other tasks. The problem if i navigate in feedly then the podcast will stop playing. This is frustrating but not the end of the world. The *serious* problem is that if I add a feed or open a second feedly tab this will have the same effect. it makes feedly almost useless for listening to podcasts and requires me to remember to open the podcast in a separate window.
