UI preference for feedly mini
UI for feedly mini? We are working on trying to minimize the number of clicks necessary for a user to share articles they find interesting or want to retweet. We are down to 2 options for the UI. I was wondering if you have any preference between the following two options:
Option #1
Option #2:

Thanks slax. Based on the feedback collected, it will be #2 (but without the blue background). On a parallel note, we have create a way to parametrize CSS files...so hopefully skinning if not too far off (I know that I have been promissing this for too long but all the pieces are finally coming together: more table UI and parametric CSS). More on this in February. -
Inappropriate? For people who are ok playing with daily builds, you can see the first iteration of the feedly mini concept at http://update.feedly.com/daily/feedly... (not: this build does not auto update so it is highly recommended to switch back to the main build http://update.feedly.com/release/feed... once you are done playing with the build because otherwise you will be left behind)

Inappropriate?Hi Edwin - I had installed the feedly addon.. and for a day it worked great but now no matter how many times I reinstall/uninstall-reinstall.. the buton just doesnt show up at the top! It seems as if its not getting installed. Also, for many feeds, I know there are posts/items (i can see them in the Greader) but i cant see them on feedly when i bring it up using the URL.. (since the button is no more visible).
Cheers,
Desh

Inappropriate?Hi Desh. There is a bug where the second time you install feedly, the button does not get added. You can manually work around the problem by manually adding it (right click on the toolbar and select customize and drap and drop the button back) or visit: http://www.feedly.com/feedly directly

Thanks virelai. If feedly mini does not end up being satisfactory, google reader has also a good bookmarklet. If you are a ubiquity user, you can also try the feedle ubiquity share command. -
Thanks - for all i've seen now mini seems to be a really good solution :) -
Inappropriate?I sent you an email but I thought I'd add it here as well. When I bright up Feedly Preferences, I don't see any settings relating to Feedly Mini or its scope of use, even though the Mini bar itself is popping up in the right places so far.

Inappropriate?J. Phil. Oops. The preferences were marked as advanced (and therefore hidden). We will fix this this afternoon and include it in the patch we will put out later this evening. Thank you very much for the heads up! (This is going to save us a lot of angry comments).
I’m thankful

Sweet, looking forward to it! -
Inappropriate?Update. Version 1.2.144 is out. It should include the 2 new knobs in the preferences to control the mark as read behavior of the feedly mini bar as well as where feedly mini should be displayed.

Inappropriate?feedly mini is amazing so far! I love how it integrates my web browsing with my GReader feeds, which keeps me from seeing articles multiple times. Excellent new feature!
