Inappropriate?Liz, we have been fixing a couple of important bugs. Can you please try this:
point your browser to http://update.feeddo.com/releaser/fee..., accept the installation, restart the browser and see if your problems go away. -
"The requested URL /releaser/feedly.xpi was not found on this server."
I'm getting the xpi file, but for some reason FF/XP just isn't sure what to do with it.
-- update I forced it to open with FF and viola! I'm in business. I used the link from the main page. -
Problems are not going away for me. Feedly is showing up as installed in my "Add-ons" list, but otherwise I'd never know it as I am seeing nothing. -
still not working. -
Inappropriate? In the plugin is installed, can you try to go to chrome://feedly/content/app/feedly.htm#my and see if feedly loads.
-
sorry, not clear to me what you mean by the "plugin" ... I went to the url http://update.feeddo.com/release/feed...
got the file download popup, clicked "save" and saved to my desktop. Tried opening but got the message "widows cannot open the file feedly.xpi" -
Inappropriate?The URL should be http://update.feeddo.com/release/feed...
-
Inappropriate?Still no luck. I went to the url http://update.feeddo.com/release/feed...
got the file download popup, clicked "save" and saved to my desktop. Tried opening but got the message "widows cannot open the file feedly.xpi"
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?LizM: sorry about the frustration. are you running firefox?
-
Inappropriate?nope, as stated in my original post i'm using windows xp (at work) and at home (windows vista).
-
Inappropriate?Sorry again for the frustration. Feedly is still in beta and there still a lot of things that need to be better explained on the web site.
Firefox is a web browser (similar to internet explorer). You can download an install it from: http://www.getfirefox.com
Once you have installed firefox, you add add feedly to firefox by going to http://www.feedly.com and clicking on the get feedly button.
The other option is to wait until feedly is a little more mature and a version for Internet Explorer is available.
Sorry again for the confusion and extra frustration it created. I will make sure that the website is updated so that open people do not have to go through the same painful process.
