Where is "back home"? The Nokia 2760 is a dual-band 1900 / 850 MHz phone and will only work in North America. It is unfortunately not compatible with the GSM networks overseas (for this you'd need a tri-band or quad-band phone).
Also, Fido doesn't provide a service to unlock handsets.
