No results are being got
It's been three days since I added my filter and still no results. It still says "We're busy gathering articles". There were sample hits when I created the filter, it shouldn't take this long to get results.

Inappropriate? If you have entered keywords that have recent articles in online news or the blogosphere and yet you don't see anything in Filtrbox please let us know by emailing support (at) filtrbox.com and we'll look into it.
The cause could be a number of factors, including Filtrbox thinking the results are spam, the Filtr being too restrictive, or the articles coming from a source Filtrbox is not monitoring. -
Inappropriate?would be nice to have a preview of what Filtrbox is looking for.
I've entered a fairly broad filter, and a Live search brings back pages of (some fairly recent) entries but 5+ days after setting it up I'm still not seeing anything :(
I’m uncomfortable

Inappropriate? Can't Filtrbox provide a message when it finds no content? Just looking at a blank screen makes me think nothing's happening because I did something wrong. A simple, "Filtrbox didn't find any content matching your filter at this time," or something similar would be reassuring.
An added nicety might be, "Filtrbox searched over XXXXX number of sources, but found no content that matches your filter at this time."
I’m confused

Good suggestion, and yes we can add something like this in cases where our realtime searches don't pick anything up. Thanks! -
I like this idea! -
Inappropriate?yep... added a broad filter looking for eco design, and have received no entries. Google blog search returns many results.

Inappropriate? The first fliter I enabled got 47 results but after I deleted or excluded results there were still 47.
Suspecting that not all my filters were working, I experimented and deleted the original filter completely leaving me with four filters. I got nothing from these fairly broad filters so I set up a filter just looking for the word "Russia". I checked all the various settings were enabled to receive results but got nothing. I also tried it with the word "crime". Nada.
Some problem I think!
I’m reserving judgement.

Inappropriate?I watched all of the "get started" videos before creating and using a filtr, but what I see on the videos is not at all matching what is happening when I try to search or set up. I am not getting anything and have no clue if filtrbox is thinking, searching, or stuck in general. I was under the impression the search would produce results relatively quickly--is this something I have to wait days for? So confused. . . .

The interaction you are describing generally occurs when your filtr is too restrictive. The best way to test this is by backing the filtr off by removing some of your qualifying terms. If you would like help specific to the individual filtr please send the primary terms and qualifiers to support@filtrbox.com or post them here -
Inappropriate?I have a filter set up with several "or" terms and not receiving anything.. I actually left it for a month as I have been away. Some feedback that it hasnt found something would be useful. Though for my searches it certainly should find something..
I’m frustrated

Riaz,
Thank you for the feedback. We are working on improving the filtr refinement process and should have a very positive step forward on this problem shortly. In the meantime I would be happy to take a look at your filtrs and make suggestions for improvement. To do this please email me from your account login at patrick@filtrbox.com and I will take a look. -
Inappropriate?i seem to be having the same problem. I started with some fairly specific terms and didn't get any results after saving the search, so i created a new filtr with the main search term "toyota." after clicking "search" I get tons of sample articles, but when i save the filter, i get nothing in the articles pane.

The lack of results could be caused by a couple different things. First it could be the delay that is associated with processing the articles in our system and calculating FiltrRank. In this case you should see some articles within in a minute or so and the balance of the articles as they complete processing.
Second it could be that the articles are beyond the current date range supported in your version of the service. In that case you will see a popup that alerts you to which articles will be omitted unless you upgrade your account.
Does either of these cases describe what you were seeing?
