filter accuracy and precision (no exact filtering, no phrase search)
Usually, when I want to find exactly what I want, I search with " " double quotes for the exact wording or phrase, like "Ron Conway" if I don't want to find something about 'con-way' or 'John Horton Conway'.
In my case. Filtrbox turns out to be completely useless. I'm searching for 'trendone' and NOT 'trend one'. The words 'trend' and or 'one' could be mentioned in the article, but NOT as the phrase 'trend one'
With Google I can create the filter:
Find articles about:
"trendone"
that should not contain:
"trend one"
Thats it. I'm happy.
With filtrbox I can not search for the exact content I'm looking for, even though I know how I could do it, but the filters don't work / are technically not advanced enough.
Sorry, results like these are totally useless for me:
- Spring 2009 Fashion Trend: One Shoulder Tops and Dresses
http://www.ssasychic.com/fashion/spri...
- (...) the world is undergoing a cooling trend”... one likely to cause
http://www.fromtheheartland.org/index...
- (...) but is the new trend one resurgence too far?

- (...) teaching roles my answers will trend one way

Look at wikipedia. They support phrase search, fuzzy search and wildcard (at the end and! at the front):
phrase search: "conway"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:...
fuzzy search: conway~
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:...
wildcard (end): conw*
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:...
wildcard (front): *onway

I really like the ui and filtrbox as a free web software in generell, but at the moment I can't recommend your service, because of this major problem (no phrase search) what I would call a 'must have', 'basic function'.

Inappropriate?Kohorte, we apologize for the inconvenience and understand the frustration. I agree with the analysis that you have made, yes that is the expected behavior. This is an issue that was recently introduced in the system otherwise it was working as designed before. This issue is prevalent in the LiveSearch, which is the search that is performed when you add a new filtr. We are currently testing the fix and we will roll it out as soon as we have a 'go' from testing. Once again, our apologies. We will notify everyone as soon as the fix is rolled out.
