FYI - there seems to be a known issue with 9,0,28,0 (and perhaps 9,0,45,0 as reported above) on Windows XP/IE where you get a blank screen. Upgrading to the latest version of Flash has address the issue for several users.

Filtrbox requires Flash 9 to work properly. If you are seeing a blank screen when you try to log in, this is probably why.
You can verify your version of Adobe Flash by right-clicking on the blank screen and selecting "About Adobe Flash Player" or directly on this page:

If you need to upgrade to Flash 9, follow this link:

I’m thankful

Inappropriate?can you tell us a bit more about your system? (OS/browser, etc) Also, you might want to try upgrading to the latest Flash version and seeing if that addresses the problem. Are there any security restrictions on your computer at all? Filtrbox only requires flash player, but sometimes local security policies can impact its function.

Inappropriate?Hi,
Testing on a G4 15" Mac, and remedied the blank screen with Flash 9.0.124.0. The fix works for Safari 3.1, FFox 2.0 and Camino 1.0.2.
I am testing functionality primarily in Safari.
First use feedback:
1) Having to fix the plugin issue first off was pretty bad. The welcome email could warn/tip me about the v9 plugin. And not just the v9 plugin, but the latest *version* of the v9 plugin. If you right click and see Flash Player 9, you would assume you have the right one. Casual and less techy users may get confused.
In my case I had v9.0.115.0 of Flash, and in Safari I got the login page, and I could highlight the text field, but I could not enter text. I know I am beta testing, so I tested in FFox and Camino and got the blank screen. I would expect/suggest a flash detect in any case.
2) Getting a loading bar before getting the login screen is backwards to me. I would not mind waiting for the Flash UI to load after I login, but not before. It was about 6-9 seconds and I am on a fast connection with average 18kbps download. That's a long time to wait just to log in.
3) The About and Privacy policy links were non-functional in Camino, OK in Safari.
4) The Remember Me checkbox only remembers user name, not password. Not sure if this is intentional, but since you have a Flash form, I cannot use my password utility to auto-login. I use it all the time, as I have way too many logins. I expect my password to be remembered, too.
5) The UI does not load fully each time. I tried a few reloads and cache dumps, and it's intermittent but repeatable. I will get some text elements and background colors, but UI graphics are missing.
6) I created a filter, the data loaded respectably quick, and got my tag cloud. Drag and drop worked fine. Now I am waiting (as the UI told me to) while data is gathered. As soon as you can give an expectation of how long the average wait might be, that would be good info to give to the user.
Will test again soon.

Inappropriate?I would echo the feedback on the initial login/flash problem. I would have expected to see a some kind of prompt or error page that says "you've got the wrong version of Flash, please upgrade". Instead I got a blank page.
I'm XP, tried it with both IE 6 and (primarily) Firefox 2.0.0.13.
I'm a corporate factiva user and was pleased with the content coverage from the sense that it picked up a mention of my relatively esoteric interest in a well-written blog that factiva didn't find. -

Inappropriate?Hi Craig,
Can you send us your login ID so we can investigate this further? email is support@filtrbox.com
Also if you are clicking on this link (https://www.filtrbox.com/dashboard/) and are seeing a blank screen then it is most likely a flash issue. Can you click on this link (http://www.macromedia.com/software/fl...) and send along your version of flash with your log in id.
Best,
Patrick
