Hi all,
We are aware that the fix mentioned above did not work for everyone, and as such have spent a considerable amount of time attempting to recreate, isolate and fix this issue once and for all. I am pleased to announce that we believe we have successfully found and resolved the underlying problems causing this (there were a few). An update has been submitted, which should be available shortly.
Obviously it is difficult to say for certain whether these fixes will solve the problem in all cases, but we do believe it will clear the issue up for the vast majority.

I'm very sorry that you haven't had the best experience with Real Racing. We haven't encountered this type of major problem locally on any of our devices. In order to try and resolve your problem, I'll need a few details.
Which model iTouch are you using? (The iTouch2 has external speakers.) Which version firmware are you using? (2.2.1 or 3.0 or 3.1.1 .) You can find this information in Settings>General>About .
Did you purchase and download Real Racing via wifi directly on your iTouch, or did you purchase via iTunes and sync the application to your iTouch? Is your iTouch jailbroken? How much data is your iTouch currently carrying? (Is it really full? Or closer to completely empty?) Have you tried completely powering down your iTouch and then loading Real Racing once it has rebooted?
Any other information you can provide would be greatly appreciated, and I look forward to helping you resolve this issue as soon as possible.

I have the same problem too, I have an iPod touch 2nd generation 16 GB and I am using the firmware 3.1.2 (7D11). I purchased it via my iPod and my iPod is not jail broken. I have 9.2 GB of memory left and I have tried powering it down and rebooting the app. This problem also occurs with the apps Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz and Yeti Sports lite.

Inappropriate?I have exactly the same issue but only since the most recent update. I've a new 3gs with gigs of space on it. I've tried syncing it, downloading it directly, deleting it entirely and trying again and still no joy. Any ideas? -

Inappropriate?i also have the same problem with a iphone 3g version 3.1.2, i've tried downloading with itunes then sync and over wifi more than once, rebooted between each fresh install, then did a factory restore on the phone and repeated the above still to no avil, the only difference is everytime i reinstall the game the first time i try to play it the firemint splash screen stays on for about 8 seconds after that only about 3, forgot to say got about 10 gig of space free.

Inappropriate?I just bought a new 32GB iPod Touch and purchased this game (Real Racing) off iTunes. As described above, the splash screen displays for several seconds and then the app quits. I just spent $7 on this and am not very pleased, to say the least. I don't want a refund — yet — but instead hope this problem can be resolved soon. I'd really love to try this game!

Looks like this is a pretty major problem. I've found something specifically related to the issue on the Apple Help page here : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702
To quote : "Deauthorize your computer and then reauthorize your computer. After your computer is authorized, try re-syncing your purchased application back to your device."
See how you go after following the steps as listed on the Apple Help page (liked above).
Our engineers are still investigating the issue and will endeavour to put a fix on from our end as soon as we can.

Just downloaded Real Racing and got the issues detailed above.
I then followed Apple's instructions that you kindly found, and de-authorized then re-authorized my computer (took seconds) and then reloaded RR on to my iPhone 3G and...
....It's an awesome game mate!

I did everything mentioned in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1702 apart from reporting it as a problem as I guess you already know about it, but maybe not that this article does not fix the issue for all iPhones.
