The number that appears as the "Total Times Ranked" for Labyrinth hasn't changed at all for several days, although I personally have ranked it many times over the past several days and it's hard for me to believe that no one else has. I don't know if this is a problem for any other title, though I suspect this is not a unique case.
How about adding "Want to see" for movies I've not seen. This would create a second list that could be a reference for ordering from NetFlix, say. Once seen, they could be removed from the list and reincluded in the candidates for ranking.
This would be really useful, as I'm finding that while I'm ranking, I keep going "Ooh, I want to see THAT one" and there's no way to record it other than off this site. Doh!
When I tag a movie as not seen, is it supposed to keep coming up while I'm ranking? I was under the impression that we had to go back to our list and change a movie to seen for it to be thrown back into our ranking pool.
Right now, when I click the "view all movies I haven't seen >" link on the bottom of my profile, I get a list of the movies I haven't seen sorted by release date.
The list is also capped at 500 movies for some reason.
I'd the ability to sort this list by title, director, and genre.
i'm obsessed with you sight. i have 3553 rankings in less than 4 days and i'm getting into the realm where i can see my top 20 films in my flickchart top 20. i'd like to see some different modes to keep my interest. cause i like seeing the movement of the films. even if you could expand the top 20 section to show a top 50 or 100. also i would love to see a vs. sudden death type mode where i could take a movie like ghostbusters and continue to ride with it till it gets beat. then once a movie beats it like exorcist then i stick with exorcist till something can beat that.
Love the sight; it's a great time killer and an interesting way of sorting our favorite movies.
However, I'm frustrated by two issues:
First, the lack of variety of movie choices.
You have many, but there is a vast collection of movies, directors, stars, eras that I have yet to be offered.
On the otherhand, I can't count how many times The Aviator pops up.
Second: it would be great if once you make a choice between two certain movies, you are never offered that choice again.
My favorite movie list simply isn't going anywhere because I keep winding up with the same choices. My favorite movie is never up against ones ahead of it on the list, but it is paired up with certain titles over and over again.
