Notifications of Follow-Up Responses To Discussions Comments

I'd like some way of being notified - either through my user profile page, or through an email, or some AJAX on-screen notifier - when I've received a reply to a comment I made on a matchup discussion, or if there are other new comments. I should ideally be able to "follow" discussions via a checkbox on each matchup I've commented on.
