Why is Flickr's Upload to Blog email feature so flaky?
The concept behind the Upload to Blog feature is great. I use it to moblog: take photo on cameraphone, send it to special Flickr email address, Flickr adds photo to my photostream and also sends it as a post to my blog.
Unfortunately the "sends it as a post to my blog" part only works for me about 50% of the time. Anyone know why that is? -

uploading results in auto tagging... why? Last reply on April 17, 2008 22:31.
hello:
seems when i upload from yahoo mobile or even i think from the uploadr and don't tag the photos, they get auto tagged with a trio of tags i've used before but which have NO bearing on these photos. any ideas!?
here is an example: http://tinyurl.com/2z7n23
these came from an email upload. you can see they are tagged. they shouldn't be tagged and not with these, these are tags from colorado....
thanks!

Flickr Uploadr 3.0 for the Mac has bugs Last reply on February 18, 2008 20:10.
Though it looks quite nice, I've experienced several issues since downloading the recent version (I'm running a Macbook Pro, Leopard, with 2gigs of RAM):
- When launching the app for the first time, it never opened the interface window, just hung there. A restart resolved this, though I'm not sure if it will happen again
- The Upload Photos button didn't initially show up at all. I had to add several photos into the queue before the button appeared.
- Uploads do not always complete, but there is no status

No EXIF data from T650i cameraphone? Last reply on January 31, 2008 09:37.
Have had this phone for a week and am happy with it so far - except it seems to omit EXIF data from photos I email to my Flickr photostream.
Anyone else have this problem, or know why the data's omitted? -

Heads up! Your photos may be hidden from public searches when using the new Uploadr! Last reply on January 23, 2008 18:30.
I just posted this issue to the official Uploadr 3 thread in the Flickr forums, but I never go over there unless I'm having a problem, and this one's so sneaky I'm surprised I even noticed.
I found a while ago that when uploading photos via the "Send to Flickr" shell extension, I wouldn't get an upload button. Easy enough, just relaunch the application and it shows up. But it looks like after Uploadr enters this state, all photos in that batch and all subsequent batches are uploaded with the sneaky "hide this photo from public searches" setting enabled, even though the default setting shows in the UI. Restart the application and launch the executable normally and the setting will behave as expected.
To see if this has happened to any of your photos, scroll down to the bottom of your photo page and click the "flag this photo" link to see if the checkbox is enabled.
There is discussion in the linked thread that there is a way to use the Organizr to change this setting for multiple photos at once, but I haven't been able to find it yet. -
