A feed for just my friends and family
I want to be able to follow and respond to friends and family photos thru a feed reader without having to comb thru the combined photostream of my contacts. I don't want to add individual feeds to my reader since this would be hard to maintain and I also don't want to "unfriend" my contacts since that would be rude.
Does Flickr offer a filtered feed for just my friends and family?

Inappropriate?Solved this puzzle myself using the Flickr api. The feed url
http://api.flickr.com/services/feeds/...
does the trick. Remember to insert your user_id in the string and by user_id, I don't mean your old, familiar Flickr login. I mean the obscure one found by logging in and visiting the following page:
http://www.flickr.com/services/api/ex...
This probably should be easier, but thankfully the api documentation doesn't scare me.

Inappropriate?popastronaut is right - but you should also be able to do this from your friends' photos page on Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/friends/
... if you look at the bottom of the page towards the pagination, you'll see options to manage which pictures will be shown on that page. The default is all contacts, but if you click 'Only show photos from your family and friends' and then click the 'Feed' RSS button below that, you should be good to go.
