Why can't people see my pictures when they click on my Flickr web page?

I cut and pasted my Flickr web page into an email and sent to people so that they could view photos. They all said that "there are no sets to view" and this is very frustrating. I then went back and "added" them all as Contacts, which seemed like a ridiculous waste of time. Now I still do not know if they are just seeing photos, or all of my sets that I painstakingly created. What is the problem here? I don't think that Flickr is easy to use, am I alone in this experience? It needs some good usability testing. It is not clear how tedious it is to be able to do something as simple as send a link for people to be able to look at photos.
