Inappropriate?I would like to see iComment http://www.icomment.com/ and StumbleUpon BOTH added to the application.
So far though...I'm liking what I see, just need a tiny bit more for my taste. :)

Inappropriate?Hi kcgirlgeek,
WOT gives the site http://www.icomment.com/ a yellow color ( = Unsatisfactory ) regarding all aspects: Trustworthiness, Vendor reliability, Privacy, and Child safety.
WOT gives the site http://www.stumbleupon.com/ a green color ( = Excellent ) in all 4 aspects.
I'm using StumbleUpon, but I have no experience in iComment. Is iComment really useful? WOT has given me doubts, but maybe you have good experience of it ?!
Cheers,
sweidre

Inappropriate?Services like WOT/SA/BD are great, but their are not 100% perfect.
For exemple they use to fail to grab new spammed sites(fake viagra and fake watches sites, new phishing sites... that were just released for example...)
and, for example, there is a computer vendor (boxx) and their site has a yellow color and the site is 100% clean.
Here i am using BrowserDefender too, its fine but its weaker than WOT and SA

I’m indifferent

Inappropriate?Hi Cristiano,
Based upon your message above I have just installed the extension Browser Defender into Flock. I received the toolbar, but no information was given regarding the links after having done a Google search. Maybe I have too many safety/security extensions! But you are right; we can never have 100% confidence regarding any extensions!
But study "Help" -> "Flock Help F1" and scroll down to the heading "Ensure Privacy and Manage Security". Provided, that Flock has been properly setup, Flock should give a warning, if you visit a bad site! Flock is a Gecko-based browser like Mozilla/Firefox. ( Until now I have not got that warning )

sweidre
Win XP Home SP2, ( IE7 ), Flock 2.0.3, ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0.483, NOD32 AV 4.0.424, Zemana AntiLogger 1.7.2.986
PS. I have a couple of days ago sent an email to Zemana, asking them, if Zemana AntiLogger is protecting only Trident-based browsers as IE, Avant Browser etc, or if the software also protects Gecko-based browsers; I have not yet got any answer DS.
I’m waiting for a sollution!

Inappropriate?Hi Cristiano,
I have received an email reply from Zemana Ltd regarding its AntiLogger : "Flock is based on Mozilla NSS API and is supported by AntiLogger." Unfortunately it is a shareware ($24.00 per the first year), but it has already with a pure heuristic method found suspected softwares inside my own computer! (I have so far not visited a bad external web site). The software has really received high scores by many experts, for example CNET. Do a Google search for "Zemana AntiLogger" and you will find, that all sites will say that the software is a must have, when doing bank affairs etc. Here is the help site by Zemana itself' :
http://support.zemana.com/AntiLogger/...
Maybe I should not advertise an other software (It might be against the rules of this forum ! ?).
Bye for now,
sweidre

Inappropriate?Hi Alejandro,
Thanks, for your list of working Firefox' extensions! But are you sure, that Cooliris really works in Flock? I have seen on some topics, that Cooliris is not working in Flock!? Did you take any special measures to get Cooliris to work?
Regards,
Win XP Home SP2, ( IE8 ), Flock 2.0.3, ZoneAlarm Pro 7.0.483, NOD32 AV 4.0.424, Zemana AntiLogger 1.8.2.998
I’m waiting for your reply!
-
The newest version of Cooliris *does* work with Flock 2.5. :) -
Note that it may take up to 24 hours for Flock to download the latest list of blocked extensions for this to work. -
Yes it does, because I wrote them about the bug and they told me Flock had to unlock it ;) it was working on the last days previous to 2.5 :) -
Inappropriate?Ok the first issue of importance is adblock plus official flock intergration.
it's not just the techie we need to be thinking about when concidering this imporntance factor, it's the beginner as well, everyone knows or should know the facts, that ads have malicious intitys in them or associated with them and to the average user knows this and would appreciate(if not like me demand) it. at least in my circles i hear that they stay away from it for that reason (these people also stay away from IE) .
bottom line is i don't work for abp i just swear by it being a computer tech i know the probability of avrage user manually updating it and if you want more users oyu'll stress this first the most it's just the facts.
as a fact blocking adds ease's the strain on virus programs on older computers witch dramatically reduces load time, security, and performance compared to the down time one would experience in not having the capability.
it's the most redundant thing i have witnessed as of yet, that the fact that social networks are manily the target for this Malicious stuff and yet flock
convienantly """"overlooks it""""" while the people who download this program are
going these sites protected only by their "virus programs".
adblock plus official integration would mean firefox quality integration, witch means auto updating filters and element hieing.
there is an abp fourm you can go to where they are discussing this.

I’m CONFUSED

Inappropriate?Hi NothingsSomething,
The forum you link to regarding Adblock Plus is out of date.
Adblock Plus works fine in Flock, as do most Firefox extensions. You can install it from their official site here:

Inappropriate?Just so you know, almost all of the firefox extentions work on flock
