Facebook Friend Updates in the People Bar
It would be nice if, in the People toolbar, we could select lists of friends to view rather than viewing all of our friends. I would also like to be able to select the kind of activity that shows up -- I don't really care if a friend cleared her status or updated her profile; I only want to see status updates.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! I definitely agree that the ability to group or filter your friends in the sidebar is the next evolution of People. Your points about clearing status and updating profile are astute as well...perhaps we just shouldn't surface people when they do those actions.

Inappropriate?This was just the suggestion / feature request that I signed up for this flock getsatisfaction.com forum. I do hope to see it in the next version. I drop-down populated with "friend list names" would be so useful!!

Inappropriate?I wish this had not been implemented. This was poorly impelmented and makes using flock frustrating and annoying as I don't want or need all that extra info in the People sidebar.

Inappropriate?I do agree with that idea because status updates are belonging to the needs of online users and these would be helpful for those who manage a lot of things online but are willing to see additional information whenever they are able to check their accounts.

Inappropriate?This is the reason my mom doesn't like using flock for the social reason.
My Dad's side is quite chatty, and I got her facebook page a lot quieter when we hid all those people.
When I showed her that she didn't need to open a new page to check FB, it could just be in the sidebar, she was interested finally into facebook.
until I saw all the relatives clogging the bar.
I've been using Flock for a couple of years now...but i am back to Firefox for the 3.5
I just can't handle how slow flock is with my addons and the lack of friends select.
ill be back. I here rumors of chrome...please wait until they get some decent extension thing going on.
