Flock 2.02 crashes after installation

Make sure you get the 1.9 version of Cooliris from http://www.cooliris.com/product/

Thanks for the reply Bruno - I have had cooliris 1.9 (as an automatic update so haven't been near mozilla's server) prior to install.

The only other addons are
Tin eye 0.4
and greasemonkey 0.8.2

Could you uninstall cooliris 1.9 and verify that there's no more crash?

Cooliris uninstalled and update to Flock 2.02. Have not re-installed Cooliris.

Flock starts but fails to close correctly - Browser is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Browser process, or restart your system.

Can use upto 50% of CPU capacity in operational phase which then shoots up to 99% on close down and process needs to be killed to allow browser to restart.

I would like to figure out the problem that you are experiencing. Could you send me your profile? On XP ,it is stored in C:\Documents and Settings\[your login profile name]\Application Data\Flock\Browser\

Thank you very much Craig for sending me your profile. None of the files are corrupted. In fact, I don't see anything wrong with the profile and cannot reproduce your closing problem.
Does it happen all the time? Do you have to do anything special?

Yes happens all the time with 2.02 - on clean system start (after a reboot) there is no trace of a Flock process, but after Flock has run a process remains running. If you kill it then Flock will start if not then the program detects the process and gives the above message.

I am not doing anything special to the system - the program has several user accounts but only one admin and this happens in the admin log on. I've not encountered anything similar after a browser install.

Here is an oddity to keep an eye out for. I linked from Google Earth to a wiki entry and it took me to 2.02 even though 2.02 was not officially supposed to be on the system anymore. Migrated the settings etc, but when I closed down and shut the still running stub of the program Flock restarted as 1.2.6. Checked with the program control and indeed 2.02 had indeed be installed again over the top.

I removed 2.02 - which removed everything except the unistaller for 1.2.6. SInce I was starting from ground zero I removed 1.2.6 and installed 2.03 (with saved profile) and all was well.

Don't know what Ian's problem is but as they say all things are connected. :)

My problem is now sorted so thank Bruno for trying and glad 2.03 has fixed something.
