Flock Browser Misappropriating Internet Explorer links
I have installed flock browser, I also use internet explorer and firefox.
when I visit a site say www.google.com in internet explorer there is the "e" iexplorer icon up there in the address bar.
if I put my mouse on that icon and drag it to the desktop it USED to give me a an internet explorer shortcut which when clicked would open up internet explorer and display the webpage therein.
Now whenever I drag the internet explorer icon from the address bar to the desktop, it immediately stores as a FLOCK shortcut .url !!!!!!!
I Have tried UNassociating flock with this file type but when I right-click the shortcut, the dropdown menu (for these types of "flocking" shortcuts) does not include an "open with" option (only an 'open' 'delete' etc options)
I have tried going in to other parts of my PC but I can't find any way to stop Flock from altering the files in this way.
if I go into the command prompt and directly change their extion to .html or .lnk, they don't open a webpage at all in internet explorer
How do I stop Flock Browser from automatically doing this to my internet explorer links?
The internet explorer links that I save in internet explorer's Favourites menu or on the bar in the browser are unaffected so at least THEY'RE ok.
But I still want to be able to drag website address explorer icon onto the desktop too.
How do I stop Flock Browser from automatically affecting my internet explorer desktop web links?

Inappropriate?I can understand if this is frustrating.
Windows allows you to set the default Internet browser associated with web pages. If you open a link from your desktop that should open in a browser, Windows uses the default browser. When you install Firefox 3 or Flock 2, and you choose the default setup, one of the settings is that that browser becomes the default browser for Windows.
If you want links from your desktop to open in IE, open IE and go to Tools>Internet Options. In the Programs tab, there should be something related to the Default Internet Browser. Make IE the default and you'll be all set.
