flock crashing every few days
I am totally addicted to flock, but it is crashing on me every few days. What can i do to fix?

Can you tell us what version of Flock you're using? What OS? What error message you're seeing when it crashes?

Inappropriate?thanks for the quick response. flock version 2.0 and unfortunately windows xp. error message is something to the effect of "flock has encountered an error. it has to shut down now"

The two most common causes of crashes lately seem to be: (1) Lucene and (2) incompatible addons.
To eliminate Lucene as a problem, close Flock and go locate your profile folder (C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Application Data\Flock) and find and delete the "lucene" folder it contains. This is just a search index and it will get regenerated.
If that doesn't fix your crashes, it could be due to an addon. To see what addons you have installed, go to Tools / Addons. You might try running Flock in "safe mode", which will temporarily disable all your extensions. Instructions are here: http://flock.com/faq/show/30#q_61805

C:\Documents and Settings\[your login profile name]\Application Data\Flock\Browser\

it crashed again when i was opening the accounts & services sidebar
the message said that flock has stopped working
a problem caused by the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program & notify you if a solutiion is available.

Inappropriate?it's telling me no permission or file not found when i try to do the whole folder. are there particular files that you need. i experimented & it lets me do some individual files.

Inappropriate?I did not have this problem until I updated 3 days ago to 1.27 eco-Flock, now it crashes on me daily, freezes, and am constantly having a script responding problem. Sorry this doesn't help. But youre not alone.

That is the error messge I get when I try to zip the whole folder. It will not allow me to zip the whole folder. i tried going one level up to zip that floder and I got the same error message
