flock - not flying anymore
akin to firefox, initially flock loaded and ran extremely quickly and 'felt' v.light - like it was flying. However, as time has passed (since 1st release) it's got slower and heavier. why?
Until this problem it was the v.best browser

Inappropriate?Hey pils,
As we're built off the same technology as Firefox, the same things that happen to that browser can happen to us. Various things can essentially get clogged and slow things down. There's a few steps you can take to clear this up.
#1: Are you using Flock 2? It should be much more performant than Flock 1.
#2: Are you running any extensions? If so, try disabling them all. If performance improves, try re-enabling them one-by-one until you find the culprit(s). The majority of the time it is extensions causing slowdowns.
#3: Do you have a lot of feeds in the Feed Reader? These shouldn't affect performance immensely (I have over 100), but if you have a whole ton of them it's possible things are slowing down a bit.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Sometimes, especially if you've migrated through many versions, elements of your profile can get corrupted. If the above three steps don't work, you might want to try two drastic things.
#4: Delete your lucene folder. Check out the "Reset Your Odometer" step on our Tune Up Guide.
#5: If all else fails, export your favorites and feeds and wipe your profile. Check out the "Factory Reset" step on our Tune Up Guide.
Let me know if any of these help!

Inappropriate?hey, it's me pils. (see my picture on the left there?)
I did all of the above in order, just for fun really, and Flock is flying again. Looks like my 'profile' (from Flock 1? is it carried over?) was not helping...to say the least.
So big thanks to Evan.
ps. fuffy_frog: I'm also using coughrome! 'scuse me.
I’m having problems swallowing this biscuit
