HP Web print Windows 7 64 bit works everywhere but Flock
HP web page print utility icon appears in and works fine even in new Firefox 3.6 beta and even internet explorer 8 but can't locate icon in Flock 2.5.2. Operating system is Windows 7 64 bit. Any ideas why Flock ignores the installation? This is only one of several issues since changing to windows 7 64 bit but would like resolution on this one for starters. Especially since even HP has already provided a windows 7 specific update for the utility.

Inappropriate?hello joe2pointoh,
I am sorry to hear this problem. Would you do me a favor to install Firefox 3.0.15 to see whether this problem reproduced at Firefox 3.0.15, please? Because Flock 2.5.5 (the latest Flock version) is based on Firefox 3.0.15.
Thank you so much in advance,
Patricia -
Inappropriate?OK Uninstalled firefox beta, uninstalled hp web print utility. installed older firefox 3.0.15 and reinstalled HP web print utility. Started Firefox and the icon is just to the left of the address bar and works as advertised. Restarted Flock and still cannot locate HP Web print icon.

Inappropriate? Why does this system not send notification of a response to my the poster's email? I just happened upon it by googling for help on this issue and saw my original post listed here and found the reply by accident.

Inappropriate?Hello joe2pointoh,
Thank you for the reply. I have installed the HP web page printing.exe in a vista machine; however, the HP web page software doesn't include in Flock and not compatible at Firefox 3.6 beta -
. Thus, I reported a post at the HP forum, you can check the status or add comments on

Inappropriate? Here's the response from them after they moved your report to a different forum:
Hi Patricia,
"The HP Smart Web Printing program is not compatible with Flock. It only works with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox."
Odd that it will work in the version of Firefox Flock is built upon but not in Flock itself, don't you think? -
Inappropriate?Again, I am still not being notified of responses by email as set in my preferences on getsatisfaction.com.
