Improvements For The Flock Blog Editor
regarding the Flock Blog Editor, after trying a few different editors, such as Windows Live Writer, Post2Blog, and Bleezer, I'd like to see the people behind the Flock Blog editor add a few new things to any future release that may be coming down the pipeline, such as:
1. The ability to 'left align', 'center' or 'right align' the blog content. Similar functions as you would find in any word processor program
2. More FONTS which could be used.
3. Ability to upload/insert images into the editor and then upload picture(s) to blog in question, as well as able to resize the image in question.
4. Built-in Word count functionality.
As for the time being, I'll continue to use the Windows Live Writer, as this particular program has the above functions, until such a time that the Flock Blog Editor gets updated.

Inappropriate?Hmm. Didn't notice this post, but you said exactly what I suggested, about the alignment functions. I also recommended a "Post as Draft" option. I'd rather use the built-in function, as it further streamlines my internet experience, but it's looking like I'll have to keep using the built in Blogger editor, or use Scribefire.
I’m hoping for fast implementation of basic functionality.

Inappropriate?Hello RayE,
Thank you for the suggestions. Some of the features are just hidden and some of them are not implemented yet. For those that are not implemented, bugs are filed. Details are as follow:
1. The ability to 'left align', 'center' or 'right align' the blog content. Similar functions as you would find in any word processor program
--> At the Blog Editor, you can add the "left/center/right" align from the Toolbar Customize dialog. This dialog can be accessed by right clicking the toolbar where you can change the Fonts at.
2. More FONTS which could be used.
--> I filed a bug 16046 - https://bugzilla.flock.com/show_bug.c... You can check the progress of this bug
3. Ability to upload/insert images into the editor and then upload picture(s) to blog in question, as well as able to resize the image in question.
--> To insert a photo or video to the Blog Editor, you can open the media bar and drag and drop any photos or videos you like to the Blog Editor. Or if you have any of your own uploaded photos/videos at any Flock supported photos services (ie. Flickr, Facebook, Myspace, Photobucket, Picasa, Youtube), you can login to those accounts and drag them from the media bar to the Blog Editor. To know more about the usage of the media bar, I would suggest to read http://flock.com/user-guide/2.0/advmd....
However, we do have several bugs related to posting videos to some blog services. You can find the details here
4. Built-in Word count functionality.
This feature request has been filed at bug 4671 - https://bugzilla.flock.com/show_bug.c...
I hope I answered your questions.
Cheers,
Patricia -
Inappropriate? In addition to the image insertion into blog posts via the media bar, as Patricia mentioned, you can also do the following: Open the Blog Editor and drag a photo from your desktop into the Editor. A small image uploader will appear where you can upload that image to a supported service. The appropriate URL is then inserted into the Blog Editor. Pretty slick.
Were you hoping to have the image hosted on your blog service rather than on Flickr/Photobucket/Picassa? For instance, I think you can upload photos through the admin pages for wordpress.com-hosted blogs.
Re: resizing the image: right now, you might have to go into the HTML editor to add/edit the appropriate height/width attributes on the IMG tag. Adding controls to resize the image from the WYSIWYG editor might be handy.
