Nothing Works on Flock
Nothing works. On Thursday night, Flock was fine, and on Friday nothing worked. There were no changes to my system in the meantime, but my feeds disappeared, all of my social networking sites disappeared and I can't get them back.
The browser does not let me drag and drop feeds onto the sidebar and when I click on "add a feed" there is no movement after hitting okay. I am also not getting any prompts about Flock detecting RSS on web pages.
Also, I am unable to access an accounts page as well.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Can someone please help?

Inappropriate?Hello Jonathan,
Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.
When you uninstalled, did you remove all of your Flock data, or did you keep it? If you kept it, would you mind trying these steps?
1. Back up your Favourites.
2. Back up your Feeds.
3. Find your Profile.
4. Rename your profile to Flock_backup
5. Run Flock.
Let me know how this works. Thanks!

Inappropriate? Thanks Cam - I am looking at my Flock folder and not seeing anything that I can back up (favorites is the only thing that is still there). Can you please advise on anything else I can try? I'm going through flock withdrawal.

Inappropriate?Jonathan:
I don't mean to hijack your thread, as I have not had those problems, but Flock is not operating properly for me either. My problems are multiple tabs open every time I open Flock, and my repeated actions to stop that (by checking or unchecking every possible option in every possible location) are to no avail. Also, on the homepage, I always get the Twitter search widget--which I don't want--and never do I get the Friends Activity widget--which I do want. I take the Twitter search off the list, add the Friends Activity, close the browser, open it, and the same problems occur.
My point here is that while my problems are different from yours, there are definitely problems with Flock right now. I did have similar problems to yours with Firefox, which is why I switched to Flock in the first place. I was hopeful that this sort of thing would not happen once Mozilla obtained Flock, but I guess I was wrong. -
Inappropriate?Hi Jonathan,
The first two steps are meant to be taken in the browser. Follow the steps given in the links, and it will generate two files for you, containing your favourites and feeds.
For step three, you don't need to open the Flock folder. Just rename it to Flock_backup.
Thanks, and let me know how this works.
