Permissions problem in Vista
Hello,
I have used, and enjoyed, Flock for over a year with no problems on Vista Home Premium. In the past couple weeks I have suddenly started to get an annoying, "A program needs your permission to continue" message from Vista User Account Control when I launch Flock. I have enabled "Run As Administrator" in the properties settings for all users but still keep getting the message. I saw a post on another forum with a Vista user having the same problem with another program. No resolution was given. I don't have this problem with any other program. I have scanned my computer with AVG free anti virus and Spyware Doctor, cleaned the registry with CC Cleaner, and uninstalled/reinstalled Flock. Still getting the annoying permissions request each time I run Flock. I hope someone will have an answer to this problem. Thank you.

Inappropriate?Hi,
Could you please :
- make sure you have the latest definition of AVG
- close Flock
- back up your Flock profile
- delete your current profile (a backup was already made in previous step)
- completely uninstall Flock
- download Flock from our website
- install it (try a location different than the previous one)
- check if the Vista prompt still appears
Thanks,
Sophie -

Thanks so much for the fast response and suggestions.
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Hi Sophie. Your suggestions worked. I uninstalled Flock from the Program Files (x86) folder and reinstalled it in the Program Files folder and all is well now. Thanks again.
I’m Happy
