Inappropriate?need it myself... no replies for 3 months though... any other ideas for URL shorteners?
I’m frustrated too

Inappropriate? We're definitely interested in adding some further options in terms of URL shorteners, but it's not very high on the very long to-do list. Eventually though!

this is one of the best points

Evan - I would encourage a re-think of the priority, but that's just me and RDAdams perspective so far.
Most Twitter literate users today use a URL shortener of some kind and bit.ly is the predominate tool with integration to Tweetdeck, Seesmic and many others.
Not high on the dev list is a clear sign to me then that Flock is only sorta serious about supporting social media professionals and our clients.
I only re-opened Flock on the requestof a client who wanted me to comment re; it suitability for their use.
Without this kind of support, I will put Flock not very high on a very long list of other tools / technologies. -
Hey Steven,
Thanks for the very even-handed response...I appreciate you making it clear how important this is for you.
To speak frankly, I'm not sure that we've decided if we're a tool for social media professionals. Flock is currently designed around single accounts on each social network, and doesn't have the in-depth management of other apps. Deciding (and stating more clearly) whether we are really for the social media professional crowd is something we certainly need to do as we approach Flock 3.
Being a social media professional myself, I certainly understand the frustration...hopefully as we approach the next iteration of Flock it'll become clearer if this program is designed for our jobs, or for more general consumers.
Thanks again for the feedback!
