The webmail button does not check for new mail.
For awhile now the webmail button has not checked for new mail in my gmail account. I try to manually have it check and it won't do it. I've clicked it several times and it just keeps counting the minutes since it last checked. I've also tried forgetting my gmail account then re-setting it up, but that doesn't work either. This has been going on for a really long time and I would really like this feature to work.

Inappropriate?Hi AmandaRuth!
Sorry to hear you're frustrated. What version of Flock are you using? This issue, *should* have been fixed with version 2.0.3.
Justin -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the quick reply Justin!
I'm using 2.0.3. I just downloaded it before I posted this problem and I tried to get the button to work and it still didn't.

Inappropriate?Hi Amanda,
Sorry for the delay in replying. I've been having difficulties in reproducing your problem.
To help me diagnose the problem a little further can you provide the following?
1) Are your newly unread messages being labelled (or auto-labelled as they arrive)?
2) Let's check your Gmail service file. Please type: "about:webdetective" in your URL bar. Find the Gmail entry in the list. You should see revision number 21376 after "gmail.xml".
We'll get to the bottom of this, hang tight.
Justin -
Inappropriate?Hello,
1.By labeled do you mean that they are marked as unread? I'm not really sure what you mean.
2. I typed this in and I did see 21376 after gmail.xml -
Inappropriate?Hi Amanda,
I am referring to Gmail's ability to apply labels to emails. It's their method of the traditional "organizing stuff in folders". So in my question, I was referring to applying labels to messages that were unread. Is this the case?
Is it possible to supply a screenshot of the problem? If you wish to keep it private, you can email it directly to me at my firstname at flock dot com.
Justin -
Inappropriate?Yes, Some of the emails that come in are labeled, but some are not.
Also I've emailed you a video of the problem.
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Hi Amanda,
Thanks for the vid. Unfortunately, I see nothing out of the ordinary in your vid. :(
Can you open up your Error Console and see if there are any errors associated with the words "flock" or "webmail"?
Also, when you tried forgetting and reconfiguring your account, was that before or after the upgrade to 2.0.3?
Justin -
Inappropriate? This is a screenshot of the error that I saw:

I have tried to forget and reconfigure my account both before and after the upgrade.
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Hi Amanda,
Thanks for all your help in diagnosing this problem. There is indeed a bug in Flock which I've logged here: https://bugzilla.flock.com/show_bug.c... I will hope to have it fixed for the next version of Flock.
In the meantime, the workaround to this issue is to go to the Settings link on the Gmail page (in the upper right corner) and change the Snippets setting from "No snippets" to "Show snippets". Save the changes and by the next refresh interval (default is set to 5min unless you've tweaked this in Flock's Advanced Settings dialog), the webmail flyout should display your unread messages properly.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks once again for your help, patience and for introducing me to Jing! I've passed the Jing link around to my co-workers and I suspect we'll be using it more as a diagnosis tool to track down other issues.
