Upgrade going wrong
I just did an automatic upgrade to Flock but can not use it anymore as it has a tells me it has a problem and appologizes for the inconvenience but has to shut down. The old version worked fine.
I shut down Trend internet safety program but that did not help
I am using Internet explorer now
Cheers

Inappropriate?Hi hawcot,
Does this problem still occur after a system reboot? What operating system are you using?
Justin -
Yes, I rebooted twice but it still does not work -
I am using Windows XP home edition -
Inappropriate?I would like to figure out the problem that you are experiencing. Could you send me your profile? It is stored in different places based on what type of computer you use.
Windows 2000 and XP
C:\Documents and Settings\[your login profile name]\Application Data\Flock\Browser\
Windows Vista
C:\Users\Yourloginprofile\AppData\Roaming\Flock\Browser
Mac OS X
The profile folder is in a folder named "Flock," and you'll find it on this path:
(your home folder)>Library>Application Support>Flock
Linux
~/.flock/browser/
Please compress(zip) this folder (after closing Flock) and upload it at http://www.yousendit.com to performance@flock.com

Inappropriate? Also, do you know what version you were upgrading from and what version you were being served an update to?

Inappropriate? My problem also started after the automatic update yesterday.
OS: Ubuntu Linux 8.10
starting in safe mode (./flock-bin -safe-mode) gives the following message:
./flock-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libjemalloc.so cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. -
starting using different syntax (./flock-browser -safe-mode) started Flock but is window display is corrupted. Parts are see through. Some parts flash off and on then disappear. Closing Flock and going back to the command line finds the following:
[09:45:51.669 flock:poller:error] Problem getting "@flock.com/people/wordpress;1" as a flockIPollingService, while trying to refresh urn:flock:wordpress:account:[redacted]
[09:45:51.669 flock:poller:error] Problem getting service, while trying to refresh urn:flockwordpress:account:[redacted] -
Inappropriate?I don't know the old version. I am using FLOCK after NETSCAPE stopped and always upgraded when advised to do without problems. The version I am upgrading to is 2.0.3. Operating system is Windows XP home edition.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?hawcot, you might try saving your profile somewhere for safe-keeping (make a copy of the folder) and then just reinstalling by downloading from our web site. Doing this might get you up and running again more quickly than otherwise.
DanS we've uncovered an issue with the linux build that we'll probably be correcting next week. It has to do with the version of linux on the server that built the linux bits we shipped. -
Thanks. In the mean time, I deleted the flock directory and installed 2.0.0. It then automatically updated to 2.0.2, which works fine but I turned off automatic update so as not to download 2.0.3. Am looking forward to the updated version. -
I did just that but it did not work. I now went back to version 1.2.6., downloaded from the website. Works OK now. So no 2.0.3. for me !!!
