What happens when I click "Viewed" on an RSS article? Does it get removed from the feed?

It does not get removed from the feed, it only gets removed from the notifications. So, if you mark something as viewed, it will not show up in the Feeds sidebar as a new article notification. You can still click on the feed and find it in the history, though.
