Why does Facebook keep logging out?
So, I don't know if this is a Facebook problem or a Flock problem. Facebook's help seems to think it's the browser, so I thought I'd check here first. Recently, I began having trouble with Facebook not staying logged in after I close the browser, even though I have the box checked to remember me. I don't have the browser set to delete cookies or authenticated sessions when I close the browser, so there's nothing I can think to change there. Any ideas?

Inappropriate?Hi,
This is strange... I'd suggest the following:
- log out of your Facebook account; forget your account from the Acounts and Services sidebar as well
- clear any Facebook related cookies
- restart the browser
- log back in. Make sure to check the "Remember Me" checkbox and choose to remember the password as well
- close the browser. If asked, choose the "Save and Quit" option.
- restart the browser
Would that work for you?

Inappropriate?Hi,
So it seemed to work when the computer was still on, but then it did it again after I turned the computer off, went to work for the day, and then turned it back on when I got home in the evening. I didn't sign in at work at all, except on my iPhone. I'm beginning to wonder if that's the problem, even though this is a recent problem and I've had my iPhone since December.
Let me know if you have any other ideas. I'm beginning to think this is a Facebook problem, though, since it definitely didn't sign me out when I closed and reopened the browser. I'll check with them and tell them the steps I took with the browser. Thanks.
I’m confused

I don't have iPhone or anything like that & don't sign in on any other devices or computers & I am having the same problem. -
@Tj Munix,
Have you tried the suggestions I listed in the previous post, right above this one?
Thanks,
Sophie -
Inappropriate?Bridgete,
I'm afraid to say this is then the expected behavior. Logging in to your Facebook account will automatically log you out on the machine that you were on previously. You basically can't be logged in in two different machines. Unfortunately, there's nothing that we, Flock, can do about it.
Hope that clarifies it,
Sophie

Inappropriate?I get this problem with Gmail, Facebook, and any Live accounts. I've deleted all cookies and select remember me every time. It logs me out when i close the browser saving the session so i can restart me computer or after the browser crashes and I restore the session. Win 7 RC Flock 2.5.2

@bakedc4,
When you select "remember me" each time, did you mean the "remember me" checkbox on the Facebook login page, and the "stay signed-in" checkbox on Gmail's login page?
Also, have you let Flock remember the passwords to your account?
The above steps are necessary for your accounts to remain logged in after a Flock restart. We've just tried on our side, and it seems to work fine.
Do you have any extensions, and if so, could you please disable them?
Thanks,
Sophie -
Inappropriate?Yes, I select the "remember me" and "stay signed-in". I've disabled all extensions and they still log out. It started this last month at the same time it started using drastically less memory. Typical was 300-500MB of RAM with two tabs, now 100-200MB with two tabs. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

@bakedc4,
To check whether this is a profile issue, could you please run Flock with a temporary clean profile? To do so:
1) back up your RSS and bookmarks (http://flock.com/faq/show/64#q_86757)
2) close Flock and locate your profile (http://flock.com/faq/show/64#q_61799)
3) rename your current Flock profile from "Flock" to "FlockBackUp"
4) restart Flock and check if you're still experiencing the issue.
Thanks,

Inappropriate?New profile fixed it. Which files contain media feeds, accounts, remembered passwords?

Now the Digg Top 5 doesn't show up -
@bakedc4,
The Digg Man has been removed from the default chrome in Flock 2.5. To re-enable it, please right-click on the toolbar, choose Customize, and drag and drop the Digg Man icon into the toolbar.
If the Top 5 stories aren't displayed, please restart the browser, and they should then appear. This is a known bug documented here.
Thanks,
Sophie -
Inappropriate?I had this problem too but just today when I logged in and DIDN'T check the remember me box I STAYED logged in..at least so far in several times leaving and then coming back to the site.
