Why doesn't webmail work?
To get started with webmail, Flock asked me to log out of gmail and log back in again, and Flock would do the rest. It didn't, or maybe I did something wrong. Now I can't find where to allow flock to use my gmail account.

Inappropriate?Jeb,
Could you please elaborate on what exactly didn't work after you logged back in to your Gmail account? Are you able to see your Gmail account in the webmail flyout? Does it check if you have new emails?
I'd suggest to "forget" your Gmail account in the Accounts and Services sidebar, then log back in.

Inappropriate?Hi Sophie,
No, it doesn't check if I have new mails. There's nothing to 'forget' under 'accounts and services' (only facebook and blogger are there). If I click the webmail envelope, it says 'Log In to Gmail' (or one of the other applications).
I guess I should get a message in the top bar when I log back into gmail, saying 'remember this account' or something like that. I don't get that. I cleaned up my saved paswords, cookies etc, but that didn't help either.
greets,

Inappropriate?Jeb,
If you click on the "Log In to Gmail" option from the webmail flyout, then your account will automatically be configured in Flock. The message bar with the "remember account" will not show up, and that's expected. You should then be able to see an entry for your Gmail account in the Accounts and Services sidebar.
Hope that helps,

Inappropriate? It still doesn't work. Only Facebook and Blogger under 'Accounts and Services'. No idea what is going wrong. Must be Vista or something ;-)

Inappropriate?Jeb,
Would you type about: at the url and tell me what version of Flock you are running, please? Would you also type about:webdetective at the url bar and copy me the value like " gmail: $Id: gmail.xml 21106 2008-11-19 00:32:02Z justin $", please? Have you tried to turn off all of your extensions to login to gmail.com? Would you also take a screenshot of the gmail login page where you logged in and the accounts and services can't detect the account, please? and send the photo to patricia at flock dot com, please?
Thanks,
Patricia -
Inappropriate?Problem solved. It works with gmail in English but doesn't work with the dutch version of gmail.
