The dock icon badge is working well with Gmail, but when I convert to a MenuExtra there's no visible notification of unread emails. Is it possible to set the MenuExtra icon from within a userscript?
Is there a reason why Fluid MenuExtra SSB's don't get recognized as a running application to "Hear"? http://www.joesoft.com/products/hear.php (essentially a iWow type app, for all system audio, not just iTunes) When ran as a normal application, the audio events work just fine, and as intended. I've also reported this to Joesoft, and awaiting a response.
Minor annoyance bug: In a MenuExtra SSB with multiple tabs open:
After you switch between tabs, you can drag in the lower right corner of the status bar, and it's the same operation as drag/move a tab.(to reorder, etc)
Any way to manually specify an icon for a Menuextra SSB? Editing the appl.icns in Resources doesn't seem to do anything, trace looks like it's grabbing the favicon from the site every time the app is loaded.
MenuExtra SSBs aren't locked to their icons. What I mean is, they open wherever you click on the icon, rather than being aligned along the left or right of an icon (like a right-click menu is). This would be expected behavior I think, based on apps like Magical or such.
Also, when you open the SSB by clicking the Menubar icon, the menubar icon doesn't stay highlighted. I would expect it to stay highlighted until you close the SSB.
And of course there is the weird right-click issue but that's pretty well known so I'm not uncovering any new ground there.
When ctrl-clicking the MenuExtra, the context menu does not appear. Ii only works when
right clicking with a mouse or two-finger + click with a trackpad.
