Fluid doesn't think I'm connected to the internet
When using the Fluid.app SSB creator, "check for updates" doesn't work. I get the following error: "An error occurred in retrieving update information; are you connected to the internet? Please try again later."
I am connected, all other websites, all other Sparkle-enabled applications, and all my existing SSBs (including their update function) work. I've tried trashing the preferences, deleting Fluid.app, and re-downloading, to no avail.
The larger problem, probably connected, is that any new SSB created from Fluid doesn't load the page it needs to load. It doesn't matter what the destination URL is, they all come up with "Load Failed Reason : can’t find host." Again, all existing SSBs work, I'm connected to the internet, and trashing any related preference files have no effect.
I've had this problem in Fluid 0.9.2.2 and 0.9.2.3, can't remember if I had it in 0.9.2.1.

Inappropriate?hi mark, sorry about the issue. honestly tho, i'm completely baffled by this... i haven't heard of this issue from a single other user, and I've never seen it... if fluid is browsing correctly for everyone except one user, the simplest solution is that there is something amiss on your system...

Inappropriate?Do Fluid apps call home using a domain name, for the updates? If so, maybe it could be a DNS problem? In this case, Mark, a workaround to try would be to use a public DNS (like openDNS.com).
Also, do you connect via a proxy? -
Inappropriate? After Todd's response, I played around with a few things, and isolated it to Little Snitch. While I believe it wasn't working before I uninstalled Little Snitch, reinstalling Little Snitch got Fluid and all created SSBs working. Probably had something to do with Little Snitch's block list not being deleted in an uninstall or some other deep magic going on.
I’m flabbergasted.
