Problem creating ssb for plurk
I created a new fluid app for Plurk and it launched fine, I then turned it into a menu extra ssb and when it relaunched it just launched TextEdit with a blank document. I went in and tried deleting the Plurk from the application folder and recreating it but now the same behavior just repeats even when creating it from scratch as a regular ssb. Are there files created outside of applications for ssb or menu extra ssb that I need to clean up to try and recreate it from scratch?

Inappropriate?that sounds very strange indeed.
yes, like all mac os x applications, Fluid SSBs store their preferences here:
/User/<your-user-name>/Library/Preferences/com.fluidapp.FluidInstance.<your-ssb-name>
you should delete that file if you want to start totally fresh with an SSB with the same name.</your-ssb-name></your-user-name> -
Inappropriate? Thanks that did allow me to recreate the regular ssb for Plurk but attempts to convert it to a MenuExtra ssb causes the behavior to repeat consistently where it won't display in the menu even though it is actually running.
vincent-kosers-macbook:~ vkoser$ ps -ax |grep Plurk
179 ?? 0:00.46 /Applications/Plurk.app/Contents/MacOS/FluidInstance -psn_0_98328
The site has no icon and I'm telling it to use the sites Favicon, perhaps there's a bug if you tell it to use the site Favicon and one doesnt exist when you convert to MenuExtra? Just a thought I've had no issues making a MenuExtra for Hahlo.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you track down the issue and thanks for the speedy response on the work around for now I can keep it a non MenuExtra
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?that is correct, if you create a menuextra ssb without a favicon or custom icon, it will still work, but the menuextra will not have an icon, so you can't tell if its there unless you click around in the status bar.
however, this does not cause TextEdit or any other app to be launched.
this issue will be addressed in the next version.
