Support for new pages in new tab
Hi,
The one advantage Firefox has over Fluid is that it allows me to set a preference so new pages open in a new tab rather than a new window. I find this incredibly useful in Google Docs, among other places.
Could this be added as a preference?

Inappropriate?I will probably add this in the future, as many users browse this way... however, i dont think this feature exists in Safari yet, and I was hoping to kinda follow their lead on this particular feature.
For now, you can achieve basically the same effect by using any of the following:
1. clicking thinks with the middle mouse button (open in new background tab)
2. command-clicking links (open in new background tab)
3. command-shift-clicking links (opens in new foreground tab)
4. right click the link, select 'open in new tab' -
Via macosxhints:
There is a hidden option to do this in the newest version of safari. Type the following in terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true
I'm not quote sure how you would do this for fluid, though, but it would probably solve my problem, too. -
i've already added an implementation of TargetdClicksCreateTabs for the next versoin. out this weekend.
