My 2005 Explorer stays in the shop A LOT
My 2005 Ford Explorer has 20,000 miles on it. Since 5000 miles it has been in the shop 5 times for serious problems (transmission twice, non-functioning doorlocks, ac compressor, check engine). I wrote a letter to the CEO of Ford, it was passed on to a CSR who basically told me "It runs doesn't it? It got fixed under the warranty. So what more do you want?" Luckily, I bought the extended warranty because last week it stalled out in traffic when the cruise control was on at a low speed. I'm afraid to take long trips in it.
Do I have any recourse in getting rid of this car? I owe too much to trade it in.
