Inappropriate?ok - to be fair - while "forgot password" is misleading - putting your email in and resetting your password is the same as adding a password to your account. looks like a workaround that is confusing but a cosmetic change because functionally, it works at the end of the day!

Inappropriate?No it doesn't work -- because resetting your password doesn't state if it lets you choose the new password. Many sites with a "forgot password" merely set a new random password.
If it does let you change the password via a link, then this could be fixed with copy alone. But not being able to specify what password you want is completely f'ing shameful.
I’m astonished at how shiite this is.
