Inappropriate?Foursquare works great with text messages for me, but I have Verizon's regular service.
Can T-Mobile not send to SMS short codes? (5-digit codes for companies, as opposed to the 10-digit numbers you would normally use if contacting a friend.)

T-Mobile To Go (T-Mobile's prepaid service) is notoriously touchy about SMS shortcodes. Apparently, they default to blocking shortcodes until somebody convinces them the shortcode isn't spammy. (Twitter was blocked until last year; Facebook was blocked until THIS year.)
Somebody at Foursquare probably needs to contact T-Mobile about lifting the block. -
Inappropriate?For the record, standard T-mobile plans work fine. Hey - wouldn't it be cool to have a reverse bit.ly - like app that you could send a 5 digit number to and it would convert it to 10. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to do that, but it would be cool.1 Comment Add a comment
