List of badges?

I found that wikipedia page, but I assume it's just what a user has managed to figure out. I was hopeful that foursquare actually had an up to date list on their site.

I don't think they want to announce everything to create some element of surprise. This help page is the only thing I can find at the moment. http://playfoursquare.com/help/badges That's why I linked the Wikipedia page--because it seems to have a bit more information, at least.

I could have sworn I saw a more comprehensive list somewhere on the site, including which badges were unique to which cities.

Well, I did figure out that I can see all the badges available on my iPhone, just not on the web site.

I think there's still a "gotta catch them all" feeling with knowing what's available. I initially asked because I thought of a couple badge suggestions, but I didn't want to make them if they already existed in some form or another.

Just seems like explaining them all at once on the site would be a bit less work.

I think badges in Austin (where I am) were a bit screwed up too because of SxSW, so it's been difficult to figure out what's a mistake and what's intentional.

You can also see the requirements for badges by finding a friend who has completed a badge and hovering over the image to look at the alt-tag.

It's still a very frustrating experience and I don't think it's a good idea to force the opinion of "it'll be more fun if it's a surprise".
