All Page Loads Stall while Xmarks Syncs
All page loads stall while xmarks for ff does a sync.
I sync with all encrypted, no password sync, have automatic sync turned on, web discovery turned off.
xmarks for ff: 3.1.0, ff 3.0.11.

Inappropriate?Hey Dude,
Do the pages load after the sync is complete? Do you have a large bookmark set? What's your computer and network setup? How long is a sync taking? Large bookmark syncs can be taxing on a computer, especially when it's multi-tasking. Hopefully we can find a solution that works for you quickly.
Thanks -
Inappropriate?Yes, the page loads complete after the sync is completed.
I've got a 24" 2.33GHz Core 2 duo imac with 3 gigs, connected wirelessly with 802.11n to a 20Mb/20Mb fios connection.
It's not a huge set of bookmarks, about 550 KB when exported as html.
It's only firefox's page loads that stall, other apps communicate fine during the sync. -
Oh yeah, the sync takes about 90 - 120 seconds to complete. -
Inappropriate?Hey Dude,
Thanks for the detailed update. I'd say with the size of your bookmark set, a normal sync would take anywhere between 30-100 seconds, given the speed of your network connection at that given time. Loading pages at the same time may also slow down a sync. So it's a little over but not drastically. If your bookmark set has a lot of nested folders, that contributes to longer sync times as well.
If your sync times double, then we'll see if we can dig a bit deeper.
Thanks -
Inappropriate?hello there...
i am using xmarks as well and sync with my own ftp on my lan (not online, just a pc next to my other two pc's) ;-)
i can see that it takes 2 secs of the ftp connection to downoad the newest foxmark bookmark file (1mb or 1,5mb)
but then it takes 5 min and my firefox is freezed...
i think the compare algorhytm is the slow part...
any news on that front?
