Automatic synchronization problem
AUTO Synchronization problem:
I was expecting that when I open "firefox" after having changed some favorites in "iexplorer", that AUTOMATICALLY at the "open", "firefox" would synchronize my favorites.. but this not the case... For this, I have to click on the "firefox-xmarks" icon on the lower right...
Could it be possible to make an "automatic" synchronization ever "x" minutes?
Thks for your great software.. It really helps me a lot...
Joel

Inappropriate?Hey Joel,
We currently have automatic synchronization implemented, and it runs about every 5 minutes. In Firefox, in order for auto sync to run, Firefox has to be open, otherwise Xmarks will not be running. If changes are made in IE, you will have to manually sync them when you open Firefox, or wait until an auto-sync occurs.
Xmarks for IE however, is a stand-alone application and is running regardless of IE being open or not, so changes to your Favorites will be synchronized in the background.
To Enable auto sync for Xmarks for Firefox, go to:
Firefox->Tools->Xmarks->Xmarks Settings->Sync Tab
Hope that helps, and let me know if you need any more information.

Inappropriate?Hi Nate,
Thks for your quick reply... Maybe would be good to allow a synchronization "timing"... As I didn't know the "5min rules"...
But in any case, thks for the answer & quick support,
Joel
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?As a follow up...
Is it possible to automatically trigger a sync upon adding a bookmark??? That might be a nice feature in the future. -
Inappropriate?Hey Joel and not_keith,
Submit these suggestions as "ideas" here on this forum, and the more requests and popularity, the more likely for us to implement them. Thanks a lot!

Inappropriate? Is there a way to synchronize every userdefined time?
I don't want to synchronize every 5 minutes but every 2 hours, because when xmarks synchronize, firefox slows down (the keyboard gets slow).
