Can no longer perform syncs (error 3)
So I've been having intermittent issues syncing. I have a Windows box running FF 3.1b2, an Ubuntu box running 3.05, and a Mac running 3.05 also. I started having issues with not being able to sync changes, but only intermittently. Then my Mac only downloaded a subset of bookmarks (probably 90%, missing a few folders) so I decided to force an upload of everything off my Windows machine, and force a download on the other two boxes. However now all three give me error 3, or just hang when I click download now to force a download. I haven't tried a normal sync since as I don't want to lose anything off the server.
Edit: Sorry, not 'hang' as such, but sit there saying 'ready' without doing anything.

Inappropriate?Argh, and now I can't do anything without the dialog popping up and asking me if I'd like to download or merge. Stop! Argh!

Inappropriate?The dialog popping up means that the upload from one computer worked, and it's just trying to resolve the conflict on another computer. If you click Merge, does synchronization complete successfully? If not, what does your foxmarks.log say?

Inappropriate?I CANT HELP BUT SHARE YOUR PROBLEM....
Today I installed the Beta foxmarks for IE on three of my PC's, three XP and one Vista. During initial setup I always set the Sync settings to "Keep Favorites on the server; discard those on computer" selected since I want all of my computers initially synced to the same set of bookmarks on the foxmarks server.
All of my bookmarks are synchronized to the foxmarks server between the four PC's with Internet Explorer browser and the Safari browser on my Mac.
NOW FOR THE PROBLEM: I can no longer sync bookmarks on any of my Firefox Browsers, thats on the 4 PC's and Mac. Again, I can sync just fine with Safari on the Mac with the existing set of bookmarks stored on the server.
When trying to Sync the Firefox bookmarks on (all computers) I get an error message that says: Unknown error occurred (3) We just encountered an unknown error(number is 3). -
Inappropriate?Received Unknown Error 3 on Foxmarks for Firefox using version 3.05 of FFX and running on Jaunty v9.04 of Ubuntu, Just received the error today for the first time, would like to find a quick solution to Unknown Error (3).
As far as it goes I have been quite happy with foxmarks, just would like to understand what has occured here and a probable solution. Does it really matter what Operating System you run firefox on or is it specific?

Inappropriate?Well seemed it cleared up by itself once I reset my information, now no problems, still not sure why it happened in the first place, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Inappropriate?Ray Marr: Error 3 can be caused by a number of underlying problems; generally your foxmarks.log would have more details about the precise nature of the problem (see my previous reply on this topic).
