Compatible Foxmarks version for Firefox 2.0.0.20 - Windows XP?
I have just gone back to Firefox v2.0.0.20, and I can't install the latest version of XMarks v3.0.2 ....
It SAYS that it is compatible, but after the download it yells "INCOMPATIBLE!!!"
What version of Foxmarks will work correctly with Firefox v2.0.0.20 ????

Inappropriate?Strange; the Mozilla page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire... shows that it's only compatible with Firefox 3.0 and up--where do you see that it's compatible with Firefox 2?
You should be able to use some of the previous versions of Foxmarks with Firefox 2, though we won't support those versions indefinitely. Earlier versions can be found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire... -
Inappropriate?Hi Eric, I just wanted to point out that find it regrettable that Xmarks doesn't support Firefox 2, and I find it even more sad that you decided to cut out support for poor souls like me, stuck with Foxmarks Extension on Firefox 2's.
I agree that the Mozilla 2.x is out of support, but for many upgrade of the Firefox due to so many reasons like company policies, lack of permissions etc is not a possibility. Furthermore, you have to take into account that in this way you are defeating versatility and independence of your own software from browser version - something what made this FF extension ahead of others.
I guess that this is then the end of line for my use of this extension - its manual copying of the bookmark file to usb stick then.
I’m very, very sad.

Inappropriate? If you browse to http://download.foxmarks.com/download... it is indicated that Foxmarks supports Firefox 2. Perhaps the URL could be updated?
I’m sad

Inappropriate?I agree, I still have to use FF 2.0.0.20 for some of the stuff for my work to work correctly. Ever since the newest version of foxmarks became xmarks I am unable to sync my bookmarks. Now I have to have my.foxmarks.com open in another tab just to access, and if I want to add a new bookmark, I have to do it manually. That way I am able to at lest have it sync to foxmarks for IE I have running, and FF3.0xx that I have on a USB stick with portable apps.
Basicly, what I am asking it to make foxmarks, or xmarks or whatever you all are calling it these days to work with older versions of FF.
Thank you.
I’m upset!!!

Inappropriate?Firefox 2 not being supported is the deal breaker both for Fox (XMarks)s and Firefox.
I am not going to FF 3.5x anytime soon, until they get rid of that "awesome" bar and the collection of user information. -
Inappropriate? If you still have FF 2xxxxx and Foxmarks on another machine you can copy the Foxmarks extension from
Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/eze3x6ko.default/Extensions/Foxmarks
then paste it into Extensions folder in your re-installed FF2xxxxx.
Hope this helps
